The Spooky Walk
Once upon a time, in a little town, there lived a small boy named Tommy. Tommy loved Halloween. He loved the pumpkins, the costumes, and most of all, the candy. But there was one thing he was a little afraid of—the dark park near his house.
One Halloween night, Tommy put on his brave pirate costume. He had a shiny hat and a sword made of plastic. "Arrr!" he said to himself in the mirror, trying to be brave. "Pirates aren't afraid of the dark!" But deep down, he was a little bit scared.
Tommy's mom said, "Tommy, it's time to collect some Halloween treats! Do you want to go to the park?" Tommy nodded, even though his tummy felt a little funny. He held his candy bag tight and stepped outside.
A Friendly Ghost
As Tommy walked to the park, he heard a funny noise. "Boo! Boo!" it went. Tommy stopped. "Who's there?" he whispered, his voice shaking a little.
Out from behind a tree floated a little ghost. But this ghost was not scary at all. It had big, round eyes and a tiny, twinkly smile. "Hello, I'm Benny the Ghost," the ghost said softly.
Tommy blinked and said, "Hi, Benny. I'm Tommy. Are you here for Halloween too?"
Benny giggled and nodded. "Yes, but I am a little lost. Can you help me find my way home?" he asked.
Tommy thought for a moment. "Okay, I can help you," he said bravely, even though he still felt a bit scared of the dark.
The Magical Adventure
Tommy and Benny walked through the park together. The trees looked like friendly giants, and the moon peeked through the clouds like a smiling face.
As they walked, Benny showed Tommy some Halloween magic. He made the leaves twirl and dance in the air. "Wow!" said Tommy, clapping his hands. "You're amazing, Benny!"
Benny grinned and said, "Thank you, Tommy! I'm glad we're friends."
Soon, they reached a bright, glowing pumpkin. "This is the way home for me," Benny said. "Thank you for helping me, Tommy."
Tommy smiled big. "You're welcome, Benny. I had a fun Halloween with you."
Benny floated up and gave Tommy a tiny ghost hug. "Goodbye, my friend. See you next Halloween!" And with a twinkle and a puff, Benny vanished into the glow of the pumpkin.
Tommy waved and shouted, "Goodbye, Benny!" He turned and skipped back home, feeling happy and proud. He had made a new friend, and he wasn't scared of the dark park anymore. In fact, he couldn't wait for next Halloween to see Benny again.
And from that night on, Tommy knew that sometimes, even a little bit of magic could help you find the courage inside.
