Once upon a time, there were two friends, Lily and Max. Lily and Max were four years old. It was a warm summer day. The sun was shining bright.

Lily said, "Let's have fun today!" Max nodded, "Yes, let's make summer big adventures!"

First, they went to the backyard. "Look, flowers!" said Lily. Max smiled, "Pretty colors!" They picked a few flowers and made a little bouquet.

Then, Max had an idea. "Let's paint!" he said. Lily clapped, "Yes, let's paint pictures!" They got paper and colors. They painted the sky, the sun, and their flowers. "Wow, so nice!" said Lily. "Yes, so bright!" said Max.

After that, they decided to have a picnic. Lily said, "I'm hungry!" Max agreed, "Me too!" They went to the kitchen and found apples and sandwiches. They laid a blanket on the grass and sat down. "Yummy," said Lily. "Picnics are fun!" said Max.

Next, they wanted to explore. "Let's go on a treasure hunt," said Max. Lily giggled, "Yes, treasure!" They looked in the garden and found shiny rocks. "Treasure stones!" shouted Lily. Max picked up a big one, "So special!"

In the afternoon, they went to the park. There were swings and slides. "Whee!" they both shouted as they swung high. "Flying high!" said Lily. Max laughed, "Like birds!"

Finally, it was time to go home. The sun was setting. "What a fun day!" said Max. Lily nodded, "Yes, lots of summer fun!"

At home, they told their moms about their day. "We had adventures!" said Lily. "Yes, we painted, picnicked, and found treasure!" said Max.

Their moms smiled. "You had a wonderful summer day!" they said.

Lily and Max were happy. They hugged and said, "Summer is the best time!" And they dreamed of more adventures for tomorrow.
