Chapter 1: The Spooky Adventure Begins

Lucy and Mia are best friends. They love Halloween. Tonight, they wear funny costumes. Lucy is a ghost with a white sheet, and Mia is a witch with a big, pointy hat. They have little baskets to collect candy.

"It's time to get lots of candy!" says Lucy, jumping up and down.

"Yes! We will get more candy than ever!" Mia giggles, holding her hat so it doesn't fall off.

The moon is big and round in the sky, and the stars twinkle like little candies. The air is cool and the leaves make a crunchy sound under their feet. Lucy and Mia hold hands as they start their Halloween adventure.

First, they walk to the house next door. The lights are bright and friendly. "Trick or treat!" they shout, and a kind lady gives them each two candies. "Thank you!" they both say with big smiles.

Mia whispers, "Let's go to the big house at the end of the street. I heard they have lots of candy!"

Lucy nods, feeling brave. "Okay, let's go!"

Chapter 2: The Spooky House

As they walk, the street gets a little darker. The big house is old and tall, with lots of spooky decorations. There are glowing pumpkins and a scarecrow with a funny, crooked smile.

Lucy holds Mia's hand tighter. "Are you sure about this?" she asks.

"Don't worry," Mia says with a smile. "We can be brave together."

They tiptoe to the front door. It creaks just a little as they knock. "Trick or treat!" they say, their voices a bit quieter this time.

A friendly old man opens the door. He has a warm smile and a big bowl of candy. "Happy Halloween!" he says, handing them each a handful of candies.

"Wow," says Lucy. "Look at all the candy!"

Mia grins. "See? I told you it would be fun!"

The old man waves as they leave, and Lucy and Mia wave back. They feel happy and brave. The night is not so spooky anymore.

Chapter 3: The Happy Ending

Lucy and Mia continue their adventure, visiting more houses. Each time they say, "Trick or treat!" and get more candy. They laugh and sing Halloween songs as they go. The night is filled with fun and friendship.

Soon, their baskets are almost full. "We did it! We got so much candy!" Mia says happily.

Lucy nods. "This is the best Halloween ever!"

As they walk back home, they see a little black cat sitting on the sidewalk. "Look, a kitty!" says Mia.

The cat purrs and rubs against their legs. Lucy giggles. "I think the kitty wants to say Happy Halloween too."

They pet the cat gently and then continue on their way. The moon shines brightly above them, and the night feels magical.

When they reach home, they show their candy to Lucy's mom. "Wow! You girls did a great job!" she says. "Are you ready for some warm cocoa?"

"Yes, please!" Lucy and Mia say together.

As they sip their cocoa, they think about their fun adventure. They were brave, and they had so much fun. Halloween is a night full of magic and sweet surprises.

And so, the two friends end their Halloween night feeling happy and safe, dreaming of more adventures to come.
