Chapter 1: The Surprise Plan

One sunny morning, Lily, a little girl with curly hair, jumped out of bed. "Today is special!" she said with a big smile.

Lily ran to her brother Max. "Max! It's Mother's Day! We need to make Mom smile!"

Max, who was playing with his toy cars, looked up. "How can we make her smile, Lily?"

Lily thought and thought. "Let's have a surprise party!"

Max's eyes got big. "A surprise party? Yes! That sounds fun!"

Lily clapped her hands. "We need balloons, cake, and lots of sparkles! Let's go!"

Chapter 2: The Great Adventure

Lily and Max tiptoed to the kitchen. They didn't want Mom to hear them.

"Shhh! Be quiet!" Lily whispered.

They found colorful balloons in a drawer. "Look, Max! Balloons!" Lily giggled.

Max grabbed the balloons. "I can blow them up!" He puffed and puffed. The balloons grew bigger and bigger. "Pop!" One balloon burst!

Lily laughed. "Oh no! Be careful!"

"We need a cake!" Max said, looking at the pantry. "What about cookies?"

"Yes! Cookies are yummy!" Lily cheered.

They took out flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. "Mix, mix, mix!" said Lily, stirring the bowl. Flour flew everywhere!

Max laughed. "You look like a snowman, Lily!"

"Snowman or not, we need sparkles!" Lily said, running to her art supplies. "Glitter makes everything better!"

"Let's make a card too!" Max suggested.

"Great idea! A big, colorful card for Mom!"

They drew hearts and flowers. "Happy Mother's Day!" they wrote in bright colors.

Chapter 3: The Surprise Party

Finally, everything was ready. The cookies were baking, the balloons were floating, and the card was made.

"Now we wait for Mom!" Lily whispered.

They hid behind the couch. "When will she come back?" Max asked, peeking.

"Shhh! She'll be here soon!" Lily smiled.

After a few minutes, they heard the door. “Surprise!” they yelled as Mom walked in.

Mom's eyes widened. "Oh my goodness! What is this?"

Lily jumped up. "It's a Mother's Day surprise! We love you, Mommy!"

Mom laughed. "I love it! You two are the best!"

They hugged her tight. “Here are cookies and a card!” Max said, handing her the card.

"Wow! Thank you! This is the best gift ever!" Mom said, looking at the card.

"It's full of sparkles!" Lily said proudly.

"And we made cookies just for you!" Max added.

Mom took a big bite of a cookie. "Mmm! Delicious! You both are so sweet!"

Lily smiled. "We wanted to make you smile!"

"And you did!" Mom said, her eyes shining with joy.

They all sat together, eating cookies and laughing.

"Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!" they cheered.

"Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful kids!" Mom said, giving them a big hug.

And that day, filled with love and laughter, was the happiest Mother's Day ever.
