In the heart of a lush, green forest, a curious little dragon named Ember lived with his family. Ember was a cheerful and playful dragon who loved to explore the woods and discover new wonders. One sunny morning, Ember woke with a bright idea. It was Mother's Day, and he wanted to do something special for his mom to show how much he loved her.

Ember tiptoed quietly out of his cave, careful not to wake his sleeping mother. He had a plan to create a lovely surprise just for her. He decided to gather beautiful flowers, shiny pebbles, and colorful leaves to make a sparkling garden.

As he fluttered along, Ember hummed a merry tune. First, he found some pretty purple flowers. He picked them gently with his claws, making sure not to squish the delicate petals. Next, he spotted a patch of golden-yellow dandelions. Ember wove them into a little crown, imagining it would look splendid on his mom's head.

While searching for shiny pebbles, Ember saw his friend, Flappy the butterfly. “Good morning, Ember!” chirped Flappy, fluttering close. “What are you up to?”

“I'm making a special garden for my mom,” explained Ember, showing the flowers and dandelions.

“That's wonderful!” Flappy exclaimed. “I can help you find the shiniest pebbles!”

Together, they flitted to the stream where the water sparkled like diamonds. There, Ember and Flappy found perfect pebbles glistening in the sun. They gathered as many as Ember could carry, and soon his little arms were full.

“Thank you, Flappy!” said Ember happily. “These will make my garden shine!”

Next, Ember needed colorful leaves to add a splash of magic. As he looked around, he saw Ruby the squirrel, busy collecting acorns. “Hi, Ruby!” called Ember, waving a tiny claw.

“Hello, Ember! What are you doing today?” asked Ruby, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.

“I'm making a garden for my mom, and I need some colorful leaves,” Ember replied.

Ruby nodded excitedly. “I know just where to find them! Follow me!”

Ruby led Ember to a tree full of leaves in every shade of the rainbow. Ember carefully gathered a bunch of bright red, orange, and yellow leaves, thanking Ruby for her help.

With all his treasures, Ember returned to his little spot in the forest. He arranged the flowers in a circle, placed the shiny pebbles around them, and scattered the colorful leaves to make everything look magical.

As he stepped back to admire his work, Ember suddenly had another idea. “A sketch!” he thought. “I'll put on a little show for Mom!”

Ember quickly found a stick and started drawing in the soft dirt. He sketched funny faces and happy scenes, giggling as he imagined telling the stories behind them. He practiced his lines, thinking of how he would make his mom laugh.

The sun was shining high in the sky when Ember finally finished. He hurried back to the cave, excited to bring his mom to see the surprise. “Mom! Mom!” he called gently, nudging her awake.

His mom slowly opened her eyes, smiling warmly at her excited little dragon. “Good morning, Ember. What's all the excitement?”

“I have something special for you!” Ember said, bouncing with joy. “Come with me!”

Ember led his mom through the forest to the sparkling garden. Her eyes widened with delight as she saw the beautiful flowers, the glittering pebbles, and the rainbow leaves.

“Oh, Ember! It's beautiful!” she exclaimed, wrapping her wings around him in a big hug. “Thank you, my sweet little dragon.”

“Wait, there's more!” Ember chirped, standing in front of his sketches. “I made a show just for you!”

Ember performed his sketch, telling funny stories and making silly faces. His mom laughed and clapped, her heart full of love and joy.

As the day turned to evening, Ember and his mom sat together in the garden, watching the stars twinkle above them. The forest was quiet and calm, and Ember felt happy and proud.

“Thank you, Ember,” his mom whispered softly. “You made this day so special.”

Ember snuggled close, feeling her warmth. “I love you, Mom,” he said sweetly.

With a gentle yawn, Ember closed his eyes, dreaming of more adventures and special days to come. Under the starlit sky, the little dragon and his mom drifted off to sleep, wrapped in love and happiness.
