A New Friend at School

Tommy is a little boy who loves to play with cars. He lines them up in a row, making car noises with his mouth. One sunny morning, his mom tells him, "Today is a special day, Tommy. You are going to school!" Tommy feels excited. He wonders what school is like.

At school, Tommy meets Miss Lily. She smiles and says, "Welcome to our class, Tommy. We have so much fun here." Tommy looks around. There are colorful pictures on the walls and books on the shelves. The other children are playing with toys and drawing pictures.

Miss Lily shows Tommy a table with toy cars. "You can play with these, Tommy," she says. Tommy feels happy. He picks up a red car and starts to play.

Miss Lily sits next to Tommy. "Do you like cars, Tommy?" she asks. Tommy nods. "Yes, I do!" he replies.

Miss Lily has an idea. "How about we build a road for the cars?" she suggests. Tommy's eyes light up. "Yes, yes!" he says excitedly.

They use blocks to make a road. Tommy drives the red car along the road, making soft vroom-vroom sounds. Miss Lily cheers, "Great driving, Tommy!"

Tommy's Special Talent

The next day, Miss Lily has a surprise. "Today, we have a school show," she tells the class. Tommy listens carefully. "We can show everyone what we love to do," Miss Lily explains.

Tommy thinks about his toy cars. Miss Lily says, "Tommy, would you like to show everyone your car road?" Tommy feels shy. "But what if they don't like it?" he wonders.

Miss Lily kneels down to Tommy's height. "Your road is special, Tommy. Everyone will love it," she says gently. Tommy feels a little braver.

On the day of the school show, Tommy and Miss Lily set up the car road on a table. Other children bring their favorite things too. Some sing songs, some dance, and others show their drawings.

When it's Tommy's turn, he feels his heart beat fast. Miss Lily stands beside him and whispers, "You can do it." Tommy takes a deep breath and starts driving the red car on the road. The children watch with big smiles.

"Wow, look at that car go!" one child says. "Tommy's road is the best!" another cheers. Tommy feels happy and proud.

Miss Lily claps and says, "Everyone, let's give Tommy a big cheer!" The classroom fills with applause. Tommy smiles wide.

A Happy Ending

After the show, Tommy and his friends play together. "Can I try the red car?" a little girl asks. Tommy nods and hands her the car.

Miss Lily watches from nearby. "You did a wonderful job today, Tommy," she tells him. Tommy feels warm inside. "Thank you, Miss Lily," he says.

Tommy learns that school is a place where he can share what he loves. He makes new friends and tries new things. He also discovers how kind Miss Lily is, always helping him feel brave.

That evening, Tommy tells his mom all about the school show. "I showed my car road, and everyone liked it!" he says happily. His mom hugs him tight.

Tommy dreams happy dreams of car roads and school shows. He knows that at school, he can be himself, and that's the best feeling of all.
