Getting Ready for School

Little Bear woke up when the sun peeped into his room. Today was a big day. Today, Little Bear was going to a new school. He felt a tickle in his tummy.

“Mama, will I like my new school?” asked Little Bear.

Mama Bear gave him a gentle hug. “Oh yes, Little Bear,” she said. “There are so many fun things to learn and new friends to meet.”

Little Bear brushed his teeth. He put on his blue backpack. He smiled at himself in the mirror. “I am ready,” he said softly.

Mama Bear and Little Bear walked together down the soft, green path. The birds sang hello. The wind whispered, “Good luck, Little Bear.”

The First Day at School

Little Bear reached his new school. The building was red and yellow and full of happy sounds. He felt shy. He held Mama Bear's paw tightly.

Suddenly, a small voice said, “Hi! I'm Bella Bunny. What's your name?”

Little Bear looked up and saw a white bunny with big ears and a bright smile.

“I'm Little Bear,” he said, a little quiet.

Bella Bunny smiled. “Come play with me! Want to see the art corner?”

Little Bear nodded. Mama Bear kissed his head and whispered, “I'll see you soon. Have fun, my brave bear!”

Little Bear and Bella Bunny walked inside. The room was full of colors—red, blue, green, and yellow! There were crayons, paper, blocks, and picture books.

“Let's draw a sun,” said Bella Bunny.

“Yes, and clouds too!” said Little Bear.

They drew together. They made a big, bright picture. Little Bear felt happy. “I like drawing with you,” he said.

After art time, the teacher said, “Let's try a new club! Who wants to join the music club?”

Little Bear and Bella Bunny raised their paws. They shook little bells and sang a song. Little Bear laughed. Bella Bunny clapped.

Making New Friends

At lunchtime, Little Bear and Bella Bunny sat under a tree. They shared their snacks. “These berries are sweet!” said Little Bear.

“Thank you for sharing,” said Bella Bunny.

After lunch, they built towers with blocks. Sometimes the tower fell down, but they built it again and again. “We can do it!” they cheered.

When school was over, Mama Bear came back. Little Bear ran to her and hugged her.

“How was your day, Little Bear?” asked Mama Bear.

Little Bear smiled a big, happy smile. “I made a friend. We made art. We sang songs. School is fun!”

That night, Little Bear snuggled in bed. He was not scared anymore. He knew that school was a happy place to learn and make new friends.

He whispered, “I can't wait for tomorrow.”
