Once upon a time, when the snow fell soft and white, Bunny woke up in his cozy burrow. “Jingle, jingle, go the little bells,” sang Bunny, looking outside. The world was bright with snow. The trees wore white coats and the sky was quiet and calm.
Bunny hopped out and saw the big pine tree. It was green and waiting. Bunny smiled. “Hello, tree! It is Christmas time!” Bunny found his friend, Mouse. “Let's make our tree happy,” said Bunny. Mouse nodded. They carried little red berries, shiny like tiny bells. They put the berries on the tree, one by one.
Snowflakes danced in the air. “Twinkle, twinkle, go the snowflakes,” sang Bunny. Squirrel joined them. She brought a small golden nut. They put it on the tree. “Shine, shine, little nut,” whispered Mouse. The tree looked pretty with red and gold and white.
When night came, Bunny, Mouse, and Squirrel lit tiny candles. The soft light made warm stars on the snow. “Glow, glow, little candles,” they sang together. The tree glowed bright and kind. All the friends cuddled close. It felt safe and happy and sweet.
Bells rang far away. All was calm. All was bright.
Christmas is happy when we share and care for others.
