Morning in the Meadow

Bunny woke to a bright blue sky. The grass tickled his toes. Birds sang like tiny bells. It was Easter morning. Bunny smiled. He had a basket. He had colorful eggs. He had a secret plan.

Bunny hopped to a patch of clover. He rubbed his whiskers. "Today is a day for hiding," he said. His ears twitched with joy. He chose one egg. It was painted with sunbeams and little dots. It shimmered like candy.

Bunny whispered, "This one is special. I will hide it for later." He hugged the egg close. He wanted someone — or something — to find it and smile. He wanted a surprise to wait for him too.

The Little Adventure

Bunny tucked the egg into his basket. He hopped past daisy faces. He said hello to Squirrel. Squirrel waved a fluffy tail. "Where are you going?" Squirrel asked.

"Just a little adventure," Bunny replied. "A hiding adventure."

Bunny looked for a perfect place. He found a hollow log. He found a soft leaf bed. He found a bright mushroom. Each place felt cozy. Each place made him hum a happy tune.

He chose a small bush with red berries. The bush was friendly. It smelled like summer. Bunny dug a tiny hole. He placed the egg inside. The egg fit like a secret in a pocket. He covered it with leaves and moss. He patted the ground. "Stay safe," he told the egg.

As Bunny left, the egg gave a tiny glow. It was a gentle glow, like a wink. Bunny paused. He smiled. "A little magic," he said. "Just for later."

Bunny hopped back to the meadow. He helped friends find eggs. He laughed when Chick found a blue egg. He clapped when Fox found a stripey egg. Everyone shared giggles and crumbs of cake.

Evening Surprise

When the sun began to sleep, Bunny remembered his hidden egg. He felt a warm flutter in his chest. He wanted to find it again. He hopped under a sky turning peach.

At the bush, the leaves whispered. The berry bush blinked tiny lights. Bunny reached with careful paws. He brushed away the moss. The egg glowed softly. It hummed a sweet little song.

"Hello, little egg," Bunny said. The egg hummed back. It shone like a promise. Bunny felt happy and calm. He tucked the egg into his basket once more. He did not want to open it yet. He wanted the magic to stay a surprise for another day.

On the way home, Bunny met Owl. Owl blinked wise eyes. "Did you have a good Easter?" Owl asked.

"I did," Bunny said. "I hid a special egg. I will keep its magic safe."

Owl nodded. "Good," Owl said. "Quiet treasures are lovely."

Bunny hopped through the soft grass. Fireflies began to glow like tiny lanterns. The meadow sang a lullaby of wind and leaves. Bunny felt sleepy. He hugged his basket close. The egg tucked in it hummed a soft lullaby too.

Bunny found his little bed in the burrow. He kissed the egg goodnight. "We will play tomorrow," he whispered. The egg gave one last tiny glow. Bunny smiled and closed his eyes.

The night was warm and kind. Bunny dreamed of bright colors and gentle surprises. He knew his hidden egg would bring a new morning full of wonder. All was calm. All was bright.
