Mila woke up, her eyes shining. It was Easter morning! Sunlight peeked through her curtains, painting her room with soft gold. She wiggled her toes under her blanket and giggled. Today was a day for colors and chocolate.
She jumped out of bed and tiptoed to the window. In the garden, pink flowers danced and birds hopped in the grass. Mila's basket waited by the door, shiny and empty, ready for a chocolate adventure.
Mila put on her soft bunny slippers. As she reached for her jacket, something jingled. She looked down and found a tiny silver bell, shaped like a flower, hiding in her pocket. She gave it a gentle shake. “Ting-a-ling!” The bell sang a happy note.
Mila smiled. “You sound like a magic bell!” she whispered. She slipped it onto her finger and tiptoed outside.
The garden was filled with colors and laughter. Mila's mama waved from the kitchen. “Are you ready to find your Easter eggs?” she called.
“Yes, Mama!” Mila said. She gave her bell another shake. “Ting-a-ling!” The sound was soft and bright. Mila took a careful step toward the rosebush. The bell jingled again. Under the green leaves, Mila spotted something blue. It was a shiny chocolate egg!
She popped the egg into her basket. “Thank you, little bell,” she said. Mila walked to the tall daisies. “Ting-a-ling!” The bell cheered, and Mila found a pink egg hiding under a big leaf.
Sometimes, Mila slowed down and listened. If the bell stayed quiet, she knew to look somewhere else. The bell liked the sunny spots and the bright flowers. “Ting-a-ling!” it laughed, helping Mila find more eggs—one yellow, one green, one with tiny purple dots.
Mila's heart felt light and sunny. Every time the bell rang, she smiled bigger.
When her basket was full, she sat in the grass. The bell made a soft little “ting” and rested in her hand. Mila whispered, “Thank you, magic bell. You are a good friend.”
Mama brought a warm blanket and sat with Mila in the garden. Birds sang, and the flowers swayed. “You found so many eggs!” Mama said, hugging Mila close.
Mila cuddled in, feeling safe and happy. The bell was quiet now, but Mila knew its magic was always with her.
The sun was warm, her basket was full, and her heart was happy. Easter was bright and sweet, and Mila felt the magic all around.
