Part 1: The Cold, White World
Noah woke up and peeked through his bedroom window. The world looked quiet and white. Snow covered the grass, the trees, and even the garden chair. He pressed his little nose to the cold glass and giggled, “Brrr, it's very chilly today!” he said.
“Mummy, look!” Noah called with a bright smile. “The snow is everywhere!”
His mummy came by and wrapped him in a big, warm hug. “Yes, Noah. Winter is here. The air is cold, but it's cosy inside.”
Noah felt happy and safe in Mummy's arms. He wiggled his toes under the blanket. In his house, in the winter, they always start the day with a cuddle. It made the cold mornings warm.
After breakfast, Noah wanted to go outside. Mummy helped him put on his red woolly hat, his blue scarf, and his big boots. “You look like a little snow explorer,” Mummy smiled.
Noah giggled. “I am ready!” he said.
Part 2: Little Adventures in the Snow
Outside, snowflakes fell softly onto Noah's face. They felt cold and tickly. Noah stuck out his tongue and caught a tiny flake. “It melts!” he laughed.
He walked around his garden. Each step made a crunchy sound. “Crunch, crunch, crunch,” Noah said with a smile. The trees wore white hats. His blue boots left round prints behind him.
“Mummy, the trees are all dressed up!” Noah said.
“Yes, they are,” Mummy answered. “Shall we make a snowball?”
Noah squealed with joy. He picked up some snow with his mittened hands. The snow felt soft, like fluffy clouds. “It feels funny,” Noah said.
Together, they made a small snowball. Noah threw it at a tree. The snowball made a soft “plop.” He clapped his hands and laughed.
Noah saw two birds hopping by the fence. “Where do the birds go in the winter?” he asked.
“They look for food and find warm places to hide,” said Mummy. “Just like us, they want to feel cosy.”
Noah watched the birds and waved. “Hello, little birds. Don't be cold!”
A cold wind blew, and Noah's cheeks turned rosy. He hugged himself and jumped a little. “Brrr!” he said, and smiled at Mummy. “Winter gives me pink cheeks!”
Mummy laughed, “Yes, winter does that. Let's go inside and get warm.”
Part 3: Warmth and Giggles
Back inside, the house felt soft and warm. Noah took off his snow clothes. His feet were a little cold, so Mummy rubbed them gently.
Noah sat by the window with his favourite teddy. He watched the snow fall. “Teddy, outside is cold, but inside we are warm.”
With Mummy, Noah helped make hot chocolate. He stirred the milk and watched it turn brown and bubbly. “It smells yummy in here!” Noah said.
They sat on the sofa with their mugs. Noah took a big sip. The hot chocolate made his tummy feel fuzzy and nice. Mummy smiled. “Winter is for warm drinks and snuggles, don't you think?”
Noah nodded. “Winter is cold, but we make it warm.”
Noah remembered last year, when Grandma said in her old house, in winter, she wore thick socks and watched funny shows. “Mummy, at Grandma's, we always laughed at silly cartoons and told jokes when it was cold outside.”
“That's right,” Mummy said. “Laughter keeps us warm too.”
Noah tried his best silly laugh. “Hee hee ha! My laugh is like a warm scarf!”
Mummy giggled. “That's the best way to chase away the grey winter!”
They played a gentle game with teddy. Teddy wore a tiny scarf that Mummy had knitted. “Teddy is ready for winter too,” Noah said. They all laughed again.
At bedtime, Noah snuggled under his soft blanket, his teddy safe beside him. He could see the snow in the dark garden through the window. The winter world looked peaceful and gentle now.
Noah whispered, “Thank you, winter, for snow and giggles.”
Mummy kissed his forehead. “Goodnight, Noah. Sweet dreams. Winter is special with you.”
Noah closed his eyes. He felt happy, warm, and safe, knowing that even when it is cold outside, laughter, snuggles, and loved ones make everything gentle and bright.
