A small winged moon-girl with shiny blue fur and tiny translucent wings smiles broadly and samba-dances while bells at the tip of her tail jingle; Milo, a round cream rabbit, shakes red maracas beside her; Pippa, a pink-and-green bird, hovers above laughing and showing the dance steps; Max, a little gray mouse, spins excitedly with his tail curled; they parade down a wide cobblestone carnival street lined with brightly painted houses, colorful bunting, floating banners, balloons and confetti at dusk, music shown as colorful notes, warm light and a joyful, friendly atmosphere. report a problem with this image

Part One: Glitter on the Street

Sunshine twinkled on the bright streets. Little Luna, with her soft wings and shiny blue fur, skipped out from her cozy tree house. Today was Carnival day! Drums went boom-boom, rattles shook, and music floated everywhere.

Luna twirled. “What a happy day!” she cheered, her tail sparkling with tiny golden bells.

Colorful banners danced in the wind. Smiling faces wore masks of pink, green, and silver. Balloons floated high. Luna waved at her friends—Milo the rabbit, Pippa the bird, and Max the mouse. “Let's dance!” Luna called.

They all giggled and hopped onto the street. The samba music made their feet want to wiggle. Luna watched dancers in bright feathers move side to side. Their hips swayed, feet tapped, and arms waved like ribbons.

“I want to learn the samba step,” Luna said softly. Her friends clapped. “We'll help you!” said Milo.

Part Two: Trying the Samba Step

The music played, fast and happy. Luna tried to move her feet like the dancers. Step, step, tap. Step, step, tap. But Luna's feet tangled a little, and she wobbled.

“Oh!” Luna giggled. “That's tricky!”

Pippa flapped her wings and showed Luna: “Side, tap, side!” Max twirled around, his tail following. “You can do it, Luna!” Milo cheered, shaking his maracas.

Luna tried again. She listened to the happy drums. Her friends danced with her. Step, step, tap. This time, Luna's feet moved just right. Her wings fluttered, and her golden bells jingled.

“Hooray, Luna!” everyone cheered. Luna beamed. She felt like a real samba dancer.

Part Three: Dancing into Magic

The parade rolled by, with floats shaped like flowers and stars. Luna and her friends joined the dance line. They samba-stepped together, all in a row. The crowd clapped and laughed. Confetti rained down, soft as snow, bright as candy.

Music swirled through the air. Luna's heart bounced to the beat. She spun and spun, blue fur shining, bells singing with joy.

As the sun set in a pink sky, Luna hugged her friends. “Carnival is the best day,” she said.

“Especially when we dance together,” said Milo.

All the friends smiled, holding hands. The night was warm, and their hearts were full of music, color, and happy dreams.
