Dr. Maya wakes up with a soft light on her window. She puts on her white coat. She hums a small tune. She eats a warm bowl. She packs a little bag with a stethoscope and a smile.
At the clinic, a child holds a toy car. Dr. Maya greets them. "Hello," she says. "I am here." The child smiles. Dr. Maya listens to the heart with her stethoscope. "Big breath," she says. The child breathes slow. The beat is calm. Dr. Maya checks the ears, the hands, the tiny feet. She uses a bright bandage like a small sun. The child laughs.
A mother asks about a cough. Dr. Maya shows warm water and rest. "Drink," she says. "Sleep." She draws a small chart with simple steps: wash hands, eat fruit, play outside, sleep. She puts a sticker on the chart.
At play time Dr. Maya helps a friend who fell. She cleans the spot and sings while she works. The friend sees it is okay. Dr. Maya teaches kids to share toys and to tell an adult when they feel odd. She says care is for all. At the end of the day she hugs her cat and thinks of the smiles she saw.
Kind care and small steps help us stay well.
