A smiling, kind male doctor in his forties with short brown hair and a clean white coat kneels to place a small red bandage with white polka dots on the arm of a roughly five-year-old blond, tousled-haired boy who sits on a blue chair to the doctor's left, extending his arm and laughing shyly; the boy's relieved mother in her thirties with tied-back black hair stands behind holding his hand, and a sleepy nine-month-old boy wrapped in a yellow blanket is cradled by a smiling nurse to the doctor's right; the scene is a small welcoming clinic with pale blue walls, colorful animal posters, a wooden shelf with toys, a round exam table and soft window light, conveying warmth and calm with visible acrylic paint texture and gentle brushstrokes. report a problem with this image

Dr. Tom wakes up with a soft smile. He puts on his white coat. He packs a small bag. He hums a kind song.

At the clinic, a little boy holds his mom's hand. "My arm hurts," he says. Dr. Tom looks gentle. He says, "Let me see." He uses a small light. He says, "Good job." He cleans the skin. He puts a soft band. The boy giggles. His mom thanks him. Dr. Tom talks small and calm.

A girl comes next. She sneezes. Dr. Tom checks her nose. He gives her warm water to drink. He tells her to rest and play quiet. He shows her how to wash hands. "Rub like this," he says, and she laughs. He sings a short tune to make hand wash fun.

A tiny baby cries. Dr. Tom smiles and talks soft. He checks the baby's heart with a warm stethoscope. "Be brave," he says. The baby stops and looks. The baby snores and sleeps. Dr. Tom writes notes and tells the parents what to do at home. He tells them to give food that helps and to keep blankets light.

At the end of the day, Dr. Tom cleans his tools. He folds his coat. He feels glad. He helped kids feel safe. He kept them well with care and small steps.

A kind doctor helps with calm, care, and simple acts to keep us well.
