A tall, kind man named Sam stands center in a vivid blue suit and flowing cape, smiling with lamp-bright eyes and glowing gloves, holding a glowing hand that gently floats a red balloon above the road; a 6-year-old girl with brown pigtails in a yellow dress stands nearby on the sidewalk, hands open and awestruck, an 8-year-old blond boy points and smiles at a kite stuck in a tree to the right, a wet grey old cat cuddles Sam's feet by a porch; the scene is a calm, safe seaside village street with pastel houses, red roofs, round lampposts, a wooden bench and an orange-pink sunset, warm colors, rounded contours and soft textures in a simple joyful comic style. report a problem with this image

Blue Star Sam is a hero. He is tall. He wears a blue suit. He has a soft cape. His eyes glow like a lamp. His hands make light. His laugh is warm.

Sam lives in Sun Bay. The town is bright. The kids play. The dogs run. The cars hum. Sam can make light to lift things. He can blow soft wind. He can fix small things with a tap. He is kind and brave.

One day a cloud of toys rolled down the hill. A ball went to the road. A small frog sat on a rock. Sam saw. He ran fast, but calm. He made a bright hand. He lifted the ball. He pushed the ball back to the child. The child clapped. "Thank you," she said. Sam smiled.

A little roof had a leak. Rain made a drip. Sam touched the drip with light. The drip stopped. The old cat was wet. Sam hugged the cat. The cat purred. The cat slept.

A big kite got stuck in a tree. Sam made a soft wind. The kite came down slow. A boy laughed. "Yay," the boy said. Sam bowed. He tapped his chest. He was not vain. He liked to help.

Later, the town had a small dark night. The lamps did not glow. Sam walked the main street. He made his hands glow. He put light on each lamp. The town looked warm. The folks waved. The baker gave Sam a warm bun. Sam laughed. "This is fun," he said.

Sam is brave and wise. He keeps Sun Bay safe with care and joy.

Good hearts bring light to all.
