Ellie giggled as she squished the dough between her fingers. “It's so sticky!”

“That means it's working!” Miss Daisy smiled. “Now we let it rest for a little while. This is called proofing. It helps the dough grow big and fluffy.”

“Like a balloon!” Ben exclaimed.

“Yes, exactly!” Miss Daisy replied. “And while we wait, who wants to make cookies?”

“I do!” the children shouted together, their voices filling the bakery with laughter.

Chapter 3: Sweet Treats and Happy Hearts

Miss Daisy gathered the ingredients for cookies—sugar, butter, and chocolate chips. “Now, let's mix the butter and sugar until it's creamy,” she explained.

“What does creamy mean?” asked Charlie, tilting his head.

“It means it's nice and smooth. Just like this!” Miss Daisy said as she stirred with a big, wooden spoon.

The children took turns mixing, and soon, the sweet smell of cookies filled the air. “I can't wait to taste them!” Ellie said, her mouth watering.

“Patience, my friends! We must wait for the cookies to bake in the oven,” Miss Daisy said. “While we wait, let me tell you a secret about baking.”

“What's the secret?” asked Ben, wide-eyed.

“The secret is love! When you bake something with love, it tastes even better. I always think of my friends and family when I bake,” Miss Daisy shared.

The children nodded, feeling warm inside.

Just then, a delightful smell wafted through the bakery. “The bread is ready!” Miss Daisy exclaimed. “Let's take a look.”

They opened the oven, and a golden loaf of bread popped out. “Wow! It looks amazing!” Ben shouted.

“Let's cut a piece and taste it!” Miss Daisy said.

As they sat together, munching on warm bread and cookies, Miss Daisy smiled at the children. “Baking is about more than just food. It's about making happy moments and sharing smiles. Do you see how much joy we created together today?”

“Yes!” the children cheered, their faces shining with happiness.
