Part 1
Morning in Zippy City was bright and busy. Buses hummed. Bikes ding-dinged. A big screen on a tall building blinked: “TODAY: The Grand Pillow Parade!”
Zoomina Spark, the superhero, bounced on her toes. She wore a red cape with yellow stars. Her helmet had two silly antennae that wiggled when she smiled.
Her power was… unusual. She could make anything super bouncy.
“Boing is my thing,” she said, patting her belt of springy gadgets. “Ready, Zippy City!”
A little boy waved. “Hi, Zoomina!”
“Hi, kiddo!” Zoomina waved back. “Stay shiny!”
Across the street, Mayor Muffin stood by a giant truck. The truck was packed with pillows. Big ones. Small ones. Fluffy ones. Stripey ones. One pillow had a face that looked surprised all the time.
Mayor Muffin clapped. “These pillows will float down Main Street. Gentle as clouds!”
A worker pulled a lever. The truck made a sound like a hungry toaster.
BZZT.
The lever popped off.
“Uh-oh,” said the worker.
The truck shook.
WOBBLE. WOBBLE.
Zoomina tilted her head. “That truck looks like it's about to sneeze.”
Then it sneezed.
KABLOOF!
Pillows blasted into the air like popcorn. They tumbled, they twirled, they whooshed. The first pillow landed on a street sign.
PLOP.
The sign now said: “STOP… and nap?”
People giggled. Then more pillows poured out.
“Too many!” shouted Mayor Muffin, ducking under a pink pillow. “It's a pillow… avalanche!”
Part 2
Zoomina sprang into action. “No worries! I've got this. TA-DA!”
She pressed a button on her belt. A bright bubble popped around her hands.
“Bounce Bubble Hands!” she said.
She slapped the sidewalk.
BOING!
The ground turned bouncy like a trampoline. Pillows hit it and jumped up instead of piling up.
“Whee!” laughed a girl as a pillow bounced past her like a friendly moon.
But the truck kept coughing out pillows.
KOFF! KOFF!
A pillow smacked Zoomina's cape and hung there like a sleepy cat.
“Hey!” Zoomina said, tugging. “That's my heroic fashion!”
A tiny dog ran by with a pillow on its head. It looked like a walking marshmallow.
“Woof!” said the dog.
“Nice hat!” Zoomina called.
The pillows started rolling down the street in a soft, slow wave. Not scary. Just… very, very fluffy.
Zoomina ran alongside the wave. “Okay, pillows. New plan! Everybody, help me guide the fluff!”
The crowd joined in. People used shopping bags like paddles. Kids held their arms out like airplane wings.
“Left!” shouted someone.
“Right!” shouted someone else.
“Snack break?” whispered a pillow, probably.
Zoomina grinned. “Teamwork time!”
She took a deep breath and used her silliest power: Super Bounce Breath. She blew one big puff.
PHOOF!
The pillows bounced up and drifted into a neat line, like sheep made of cotton candy.
Mayor Muffin blinked. “That is… oddly beautiful.”
Zoomina pointed at an empty parking lot. “We park the pillows there. Soft and safe. Like a cloud garage!”
The crowd cheered. “Cloud garage! Cloud garage!”
Part 3
Still, the biggest pillow of all was coming. It was the size of a small car. It rolled forward slowly, wobbling like jelly.
“Uh-oh,” said Zoomina. “Boss Pillow!”
She stood in front of it, feet wide, cape fluttering. “Zippy City, ready?”
“Ready!” everyone shouted.
Zoomina tapped her belt again. “Mega-Boing Pad!”
A giant bouncy pad popped open with a snap.
SNAP!
She slid it under the Boss Pillow.
“Now!” she called.
The crowd clapped together—CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!—like a rhythm. Zoomina loved rhythm. Rhythm made bouncing better.
The Boss Pillow hit the pad.
BOOOOING!
It sprang up, floated through the air, and landed gently in the cloud garage.
FWOOMP.
Silence for one tiny second.
Then everyone laughed and clapped and did happy little stomps.
Mayor Muffin walked over, holding the surprised-face pillow. “Zoomina Spark, you saved the parade.”
Zoomina bowed. Her antennae wiggled. “We saved it,” she said, pointing at the crowd.
A little boy tugged her glove. “I helped!”
“You sure did,” Zoomina said. “Shared pride, super strong!”
The big screen blinked again: “PILLOW PARADE… NOW WITH EXTRA BOING!”
People took pictures. The dog kept its pillow hat. The street sign still said “STOP… and nap?”
Zoomina sat on a pile of pillows with the crowd. Everyone looked at the soft cloud garage, neat and cozy.
Mayor Muffin sighed happily. “Best surprise ever.”
Zoomina smiled. “Zippy City can handle anything. Even a fluffy avalanche.”
And the city felt warm, safe, and proud—together.
