One day, Lily goes to school. At school, it is winter time. The teacher shows snow. "Snow is soft," says the teacher. Lily touches the snow. "Cold!" says Lily.

Lily's friend, Ben, is there too. "Look, ice!" says Ben. The teacher smiles. "Ice is water that is very cold," says the teacher. Lily and Ben touch the ice. "Brrr, cold!" they say.

At school, they make snowflakes. "Snowflakes are special," says the teacher. "No two are the same." Lily makes a snowflake. It is pretty and white.

Lily learns about winter. Winter is fun. Winter is cold. Winter is special. Lily loves winter.

Lily goes home. She tells Mom and Dad. "I learned about snow and ice!" she says. Mom and Dad smile. They hug Lily.

Winter is nice. Winter is learning. Winter is love. Lily is happy.
