In a quiet land, an adult man walked on a soft path of gold sand.
His name was Tomas.
The sky was light and pink.
The air said, “whoosh, whoosh.”
Tomas held a small lamp.
The lamp went, “ting, ting.”
The light was warm and kind.
Hop, hop, hop, Tomas walked.
A tiny bird came.
“Chirp, chirp,” sang the bird.
“Hello, little friend,” said Tomas.
The bird sat on his hand.
The lamp light made the bird shine.
Soon they came to a tall tree.
The tree leaves went, “shhh, shhh.”
A small door was in the tree.
Toc-toc, Tomas tapped.
The door opened.
Inside was a bright room.
Small stars floated in the air.
They said, “ping, ping, ping.”
The stars were like soft, small lights.
A gentle voice came.
“Welcome, kind Tomas,” the voice said.
“You walk with a good heart.
You share your light.”
Tomas smiled.
He held up his lamp.
The stars grew big and bright.
The room went, “ooooh,” very soft.
A little child star came close.
“I feel safe,” the star said.
“You carry light in your hand.
You carry light in your heart.”
The bird flapped.
“Flap, flap, flap.”
Its small wings made tiny wind.
The stars swirled and danced.
They spun, “whoo, whoo, whoo.”
The gentle voice spoke again.
“Tomas, walk on.
When you meet a friend,
Share a smile.
Share a kind word.”
Tomas bowed.
“Thank you,” he said.
He stepped out of the tree.
Hop, hop, hop, he walked on.
The lamp shone on his face.
The stars shone in the sky.
The bird sang, “chirp, la-la, chirp.”
The path was bright.
Tomas felt calm and glad.
His heart said, “thump, thump,” in a sweet way.
He shared his light with all he met,
and every little share made the whole world glow a bit more.
