Once upon a time, deep in the soft green woods, lived a gentle fairy named Lila. Lila had wings like morning clouds and hair like golden sunbeams. Every flower in the forest whispered, “Hello, Lila!” when she passed.

One bright morning, Lila saw the rainbow pond was sad. “Oh dear,” said Lila, “the water is not sparkling.” She touched the pond gently. “Why are you sad, little pond?” Lila asked.

The pond made a tiny sound, “I lost my shimmer. The moon forgot to visit me last night.”

Lila nodded. “Do not worry, sweet pond. I will find your shimmer. I am brave. I am kind.”

Lila fluttered to the tallest tree. “Hello, wise owl. Have you seen the moon?” she asked.

The owl blinked. “The moon is hiding behind the sleepy clouds,” he said.

Lila smiled. “Thank you, wise owl.” She flew high, up, up, up, where the clouds were soft as cotton.

“Please, clouds,” Lila whispered, “let the moon shine.”

The clouds opened gently. The moon peeked out and smiled. “Thank you, Lila,” said the moon, “for asking so sweetly.”

Lila thanked the moon. She flew down, down, down to the pond.

The pond sparkled and shimmered. “Thank you, Lila!” sang the pond. “You are brave and you are kind.”

Lila danced. The flowers danced. The whole forest smiled.

Every night, the moon remembered to visit. The pond sparkled. Lila was happy. The fairy woods were full of light.

Kind words and gentle hearts bring back the shimmer, every time.
