Four 7-year-old boys: Jasper (blond messy hair, blue jacket with a small shiny solar badge, holding a decorated seed ball, centered and leaning toward the soil); Milo (brown tousled hair, green overalls, colorful tool bag, left of Jasper, ready to pour water from a small canteen); Remy (red hair, yellow T‑shirt, holding a glowing apple, right of Jasper, smiling at the sprouts); Theo (black hair, gray sweater, sketchbook with visible drawings, slightly behind Jasper, hand reassuring on his shoulder). Setting: circular rooftop garden atop a glass solar rotunda with silver-tiled floor, transparent balustrade, overflowing rounded beds of cut-paper flowers, stylized solar panels reflecting blue and silver, and bright paper butterflies and birds above. Main action: the four children toss and plant round seed bombs; cracked earth immediately greens with lime shoots and red, blue, and orange flowers bursting like paper confetti in optimistic golden morning light, with torn textures and layered colored paper emphasizing movement and joy. report a problem with this image

Chapter 1: The Solar Rotundas

The city of Luminara buzzed with light and laughter, even before the sun rose. In this city of the future, the buildings were round like giant glass bubbles, stacked high on top of each other. Each bubble—called a solar rotunda—caught the sunlight with shining panels and made the whole city glow. Walkways twisted like ribbons in the air, and everywhere you looked, something clever was blooming: floating gardens, singing street lamps, and even soft, bouncing floors.

Jasper lived in Rotunda 13, on the 27th floor. He was seven, and so were his three best friends: Milo, Remy, and Theo. The boys had wild hair and big smiles, and they each wore a tiny solar badge on their jackets. Every morning, they met on the glass skybridge that led from Rotunda 13 to the next tower.

“Ready for today's mission?” Jasper grinned, his blue eyes shining.

“I brought my tool kit!” Milo held up a bag that wiggled and jingled.

“And I brought snacks,” said Remy, munching on a glowing apple.

Theo, the quietest, handed Jasper a small notebook. “For your drawing journal. Don't forget to fill it in,” he whispered.

Jasper nodded. “Thanks, Theo. Let's go see what's new in the gardens today!”

They hurried along the skybridge, the city beneath them glittering like a sea of stars.

Chapter 2: The Empty Patch

The rooftop gardens of Rotunda 14 were the pride of Luminara. Green vines curled up silver frames, and flowers in every color danced in the morning breeze. Birds with rainbow feathers flew above, singing cheerful songs.

But today, something was wrong.

“Hey, look!” Milo pointed at a big, empty patch in the center of the garden. The soil there was gray and cracked.

“Oh no!” Remy said. “What happened here?”

Jasper knelt and poked the dirt. “It's dry. Maybe the watering drones missed this spot.”

Theo touched Jasper's shoulder. “We have to fix it. The garden won't be as beautiful without flowers here.”

Jasper stood up, feeling a spark of courage. “Let's make something to help! We can invent seed bombs, like we saw in the history books. Only ours will work even better—super seed bombs for the city!”

His friends clapped.

“That's awesome!” Milo said. “But… what's a seed bomb?”

“It's a little ball that has seeds and soil inside. You throw it on the ground, and plants grow!” Jasper explained. “We can make them with recycled scraps from the workshop.”

Their faces lit up with excitement. “Let's do it!”

Chapter 3: Building the Seed Bombs

The boys raced to the Maker's Workshop, where walls shimmered with touchscreens and tables were stacked with gadgets. Jasper led the way.

Remy found old paper and tore it into bits. Theo mixed water and clay in a bowl, his hands sticky and brown. Milo searched for seeds—tiny, colorful things that looked like confetti.

“We can use flower seeds and vegetable seeds,” Milo suggested. “Imagine tomatoes growing up the walls!”

Together, they mashed everything into little balls, rolling them on the table until they were round and firm.

“Are they ready yet?” Remy asked.

Jasper grinned. “Almost!” He drew smiling faces on the seed bombs with a marker. “There! Now they're perfect.”

Theo lined them up carefully. “Let's plant them before lunchtime. The sun is just right.”

The four friends hurried back to the garden, carrying their new invention in a basket.

Chapter 4: Blooming Together

In the empty patch, the boys stood in a circle.

“Okay, everyone,” Jasper said, “on three! One… two… three!”

They tossed the seed bombs onto the cracked earth. The bombs landed with soft plops, breaking open and spilling seeds and soil. Jasper sprinkled a little water from his bottle, and Milo gently patted the ground.

They waited, hearts thumping.

Suddenly, the soil began to shimmer. Tiny green shoots poked out, reaching for the sun. In seconds, colors exploded around them—bluebells, sunflowers, and even bright red tomatoes. The garden filled with new life, and butterflies fluttered down to greet the flowers.

“We did it!” Remy cheered.

Theo hugged Jasper. “We fixed the garden. Together.”

Jasper smiled at his friends. “Cooperation is our superpower.”

The garden was more beautiful than ever. People from all around the rotundas came to see the new flowers and taste the tomatoes. The boys beamed with pride.

“We should share our seed bomb idea with everyone,” Milo said. “The whole city could be full of secret gardens!”

Jasper nodded. “Let's draw it all in the journal, so we can remember today forever.”

Chapter 5: The Drawing Journal

That evening, back in Rotunda 13, the boys gathered in Jasper's room. The window showed the city sparkling as the sun went down. Jasper opened his notebook and drew four friends standing in a ring of flowers. He added the seed bombs, the birds, and even the tomatoes.

Theo wrote, “We worked together and made something magical.”

Remy added, “Never forget what we can do as a team.”

Milo drew a funny tomato with arms and legs, waving.

Jasper smiled as he finished the last page. “Today, we made our city bloom. And tomorrow, we'll find a new adventure.”

Outside, the solar rotundas glowed in the night, full of light, laughter, and growing things—just like the boys' friendship.
