The Big Surprise
In the little town of Sunnyville, the sun always seemed to shine a bit brighter when a special day was near. One such day was Father's Day, a day when children showed their dads just how much they loved them. In Sunnyville, this day was celebrated with colorful balloons, cheerful songs, and lots of laughter.
Tommy, a cheerful four-year-old with curly hair and a big smile, woke up with a start. "Oh no!" he exclaimed, jumping out of bed. "Father's Day is today, and I forgot to make a gift for Daddy!"
Tommy quickly dressed and ran to the kitchen. His friends, Benny and Sammy, were already there, munching on toast. "Good morning, Tommy!" they chimed.
Tommy pouted. "I forgot to make something for my dad. What do I do?"
Benny, who was always full of ideas, grinned. "Let's make a big surprise for all our dads!"
Sammy nodded excitedly. "Yeah, a super-duper surprise!"
The Plan
The three boys put their heads together and whispered about their plan. They decided to create a special Father's Day parade in their backyard. "We need balloons, music, and something yummy!" Benny declared.
Tommy's eyes sparkled. "I have some balloons in my toy box!"
Sammy clapped his hands. "I can play my little drum!"
With a plan in mind, the boys set to work. Tommy found colorful balloons and tied them to sticks. Benny helped decorate a big cardboard box to look like a float. Sammy practiced beating his drum, making a happy rhythm that echoed through the yard.
The boys giggled and worked together, feeling very grown-up and important. They whispered about how surprised their dads would be.
The Parade
When everything was ready, the boys called their dads to the backyard. "Daddies, come see!" they shouted in unison.
The dads, curious and smiling, followed the boys outside. As they stepped into the yard, they were greeted by a surprising sight. The backyard was transformed with colorful balloons swaying in the breeze, and a cardboard float decorated with drawings of hearts and stars.
Tommy, Benny, and Sammy took their places. Tommy held a balloon, Benny pushed the float, and Sammy played his drum. With a big breath, they began their parade, marching proudly around the yard.
The dads clapped and cheered, their eyes twinkling with happiness. "This is the best parade ever!" Tommy's dad exclaimed.
As the boys marched, they sang a little song about how much they loved their dads. The dads laughed and sang along, feeling very loved and special.
At the end of the parade, the boys hugged their dads tightly. Tommy looked up at his dad and said, "I'm sorry I didn't make a gift, but I hope you liked our surprise!"
Tommy's dad knelt down and hugged him back. "This is the best gift ever, Tommy. Thank you."
The boys and their dads spent the rest of the day playing games and sharing stories. As the sun began to set, Tommy felt happy and proud. He had learned that sometimes, the best gifts are the ones that come from the heart.
And in Sunnyville, Father's Day ended with lots of smiles, hugs, and love, making it a day to remember for everyone.
