One bright December morning, three little friends woke up. Max, Lily, and Sam giggled as they found something funny. Their Christmas socks were mixed up! Max had Lily's sock, Lily had Sam's sock, and Sam had a tiny, green sock. "Who switched our socks?" asked Max. "Maybe it was the Christmas Elf," said Lily with a smile. The friends laughed, excited to find the cheeky elf.

They tiptoed around the house, whispering. "Look, cookies!" said Sam, pointing. The cookies had silly faces drawn on them. "It must be the elf again!" said Max. They saw sparkly lights flicker like magic. "Let's catch the elf," giggled Lily. They set a friendly trap with a candy cane trail.

That night, they heard jingling bells. "Got you, elf!" said Sam. But the elf just winked and left a note. It said, "I like to help with fun and cheer. Happy Christmas, my dear!"

The children giggled and felt warm inside. The elf was a friend after all, making Christmas bright with his playful tricks. Now, every December, they look for the elf's magic, sharing smiles and joy.
