One soft snowy morning, Ben woke up in his warm bed. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. “Good morning, Teddy,” Ben said to his soft bear. Teddy smiled with his button eyes.
Suddenly, Ben saw something funny. His little red socks were on his hands! “Silly socks!” laughed Ben. Then he heard a tiny giggle. Ben looked under his bed. There was the Christmas Elf! The Elf wore a green hat and had a round red nose.
“Hello, Ben!” said the Elf. “I like to play tricks! Look at your shoes.” Ben looked. His shoes were full of jingling bells! “Jingle, jingle!” said the shoes. Ben laughed. “You are funny, Elf!” said Ben.
The Elf jumped up and down. He put candy canes in Ben's pockets. “Surprise!” said the Elf. Ben clapped his hands. “Thank you, Elf!”
Then the Elf put a tiny hat on Teddy. Teddy looked so cute! Ben hugged Teddy tight. “More tricks, please!” said Ben.
The Elf made a trail of shiny stars to the kitchen. Ben followed the stars. In the kitchen, there was a plate of cookies and warm milk. “For you, Ben!” said the Elf.
Ben and the Elf ate cookies and giggled. They clapped and sang a little song. Teddy danced too. The house was full of fun and love.
It is nice to share smiles and kindness, just like Ben and the Elf.
