Long ago, in a soft green land, a gentle diplodocus woke. He blinked. He stretched his long neck. "Hello sun," he said. Toc-toc, a tiny bird bop on a fern leaf. The diplodocus smiled. He took a slow step. Hop, hop, his feet made soft taps.
He met a small triceratops by a calm pond. "Hello," said trike. "Hello," said diplo. They looked at their way in the water. Plouf, little fish made a ring. The two dinos laughed. The sun made gold on the pond.
A pterodactyl swooped low. "Come fly high," she said. Diplo shook his head. He could not fly. He felt a little sad. The trike nudged him. "You can swim," she said. Diplo stepped in. Splash, splash, the pond wrapped him like a warm hug. He moved slow and safe. His long neck glowed in the sun. He hummed a soft song.
They found a cave with light like stars. Inside, tiny glow bugs blinked. "Look," said pterodactyl. "Wow," said diplo. They sat close. All was warm. A small rock fell with a quiet tic. The trike used his horn to push it back. All was fine.
At day end they lay on soft moss. The moon came. They slept with calm hearts.
Kind hearts and small help make big smiles.
