In the soft, green world of long ago, Steggy the little stegosaurus woke up under a big, leafy tree. "Good morning, sun," said Steggy, stretching his stubby legs. The sun smiled with warm light. Steggy loved to walk in the grass. Swish, swish!
Steggy heard a happy “chirp-chirp!” It was Tiny, the tiny pterodactyl, flapping her wings. "Hello, Steggy! Want to play?" she said.
Steggy giggled. "Yes! Let's stomp and hop!" So Steggy and Tiny stomped—stomp, stomp—and hopped—hop, hop—in the soft mud. The ground went “squish-squish!” Steggy laughed. Tiny spun in the air. "Wheee!"
Suddenly, Steggy saw a round, shiny rock. "Look!" he said. "A magic stone!" Tiny landed beside him. "Let's roll it!" she said.
They pushed the magic rock together. Roll, roll! "Oops!" The rock rolled into a small puddle. Plouf! Water splashed. Steggy and Tiny jumped back. "Splashy!" said Steggy, smiling.
Just then, a big triceratops came by. "Hello, friends! What are you doing?" she asked.
"We are playing with a magic stone!" said Steggy.
Triceratops smiled. "Can I play too?"
"Yes!" said Tiny and Steggy. Together they rolled the rock. Roll, roll! Everyone laughed. The sun shone bright. The leaves danced in the breeze. Swish, swish! Steggy felt happy and safe with his friends.
At the end of the day, Steggy yawned. "Goodbye, friends," he said. "See you soon!" He curled up under his tree. The stars twinkled.
It is good to play and share with friends, because together, every day is bright and full of joy.
