A brown teddy bear with sewn eyes sits on a chair to her left, arms open. A small fluffy orange tabby cat named Whiskers licks a juice-stained paw at the right edge of the table, mischievous. The mother, about 30, stands in the kitchen doorway smiling, hands ready to help. Part 1: The Mystery in the Kitchen

Mia is three years old. She is small, curious, and very brave. Today, she is wearing her purple detective hat. She loves being a little investigator.

One sunny morning, Mia walks into the kitchen. She stops. Something is different. There is a little orange puddle on the table. It is sticky and shiny.

“Oh, what's this?” Mia whispers. She bends down close. She sees drops running down the side of a cup. The cup looks sleepy, lying on its side.

Mia puts her finger in the puddle. “It's juice!” she says. “But who made the juice fall?”

Mia feels excited. She knows this is a mystery for Detective Mia.

Part 2: Looking for Clues

Mia looks around. She spots her teddy bear sitting on a chair, looking surprised. “Teddy, did you see what happened?” she asks.

Teddy is quiet. Mia giggles. “I don't think it was you, Teddy.”

Next, Mia sees a tiny trail of orange drops on the table. The drops go past the spoon, around a plate, and stop by the edge. Mia follows the trail with her finger.

She hears a soft sound. “Splash!” Mia turns and sees her cat, Whiskers, licking his paw. Whiskers has a little orange spot on his fur.

Mia smiles. “Whiskers, do you know something about the juice?”

Whiskers looks at Mia and meows. He rubs his head on her arm, purring.

Mia thinks. “Hmm, cats don't drink juice. But Whiskers likes to jump. Maybe he jumped on the table and pushed the cup.”

Part 3: The Happy Ending

Mia sees her mommy coming in. “Mommy, look! There's juice on the table. Whiskers has juice on his fur. I think he made the cup fall.”

Mommy smiles. “Good thinking, Mia! You are a clever detective. Let's clean it up together.”

Mia and Mommy get a soft cloth. Mia wipes the table. Mommy helps Whiskers clean his fur. Whiskers purrs, happy to be clean.

“Thank you, Detective Mia,” Mommy says. “You solved the mystery!”

Mia feels proud. She gives Teddy a hug. She pats Whiskers gently.

“Next time,” Mia says, “we will all help keep the juice safe on the table.”

Mia laughs. Mommy laughs. Whiskers meows. The kitchen feels warm and safe again.

Mia can't wait for her next little adventure. She knows that, with courage and a smile, she can solve any mystery… even if it's just about juice.
