Once Upon a Time in the Snowy Wood

Once upon a time, in a little burrow beneath a snowy hill, lived Bella Bunny. Bella Bunny had long, soft ears and a nose as pink as a winter berry. It was Christmas Eve, and snowflakes fell like tiny white feathers, covering the world in a gentle, sparkling blanket. The pine trees wore coats of snow, and the soft bells of the church in the distance went, “Ding, dong, ding, dong.”

Bella Bunny felt warm and cozy in her burrow, but her heart was full of excitement. Tonight, friends would come for a Christmas feast. Bella wanted the table to look special—like a twinkling star in a snowy night.

“Tonight will be so lovely!” Bella sang, her voice as sweet as a lullaby. “Snow outside, candles glowing, friends are coming, hearts are growing.”

Bella Sets the Table

Bella hopped to her little wooden table and brushed off a sprinkle of flour. She placed a red cloth like a bright ribbon on the table. She found the candle shaped like a pine tree and set it in the middle. “Shine like the stars, little candle,” she whispered. The candle glowed softly, just like the moon on a snowy night.

Bella placed tiny plates, one for each friend: for Squirrel, for Hedgehog, for Mouse, and for Robin. Each plate was different. Squirrel's plate had a painted acorn, Hedgehog's had a leaf, Mouse's had a bit of cheese, and Robin's had a holly berry. Bella smiled. “Everyone is special, and everyone belongs.”

She put out little cups and shiny spoons. She folded napkins into shapes like snowflakes. Over and over, Bella sang her Christmas song, “Snow outside, candles glowing, friends are coming, hearts are growing.”

As Bella worked, she thought of her friends. She wanted them to feel happy and loved. She remembered how Hedgehog liked warm bread, how Squirrel liked crunchy nuts, how Mouse liked cheese, and how Robin liked sweet berries. She wanted to share all the best things she had.

Bella placed a bowl of nuts, a plate of cheese, a basket of bread, and a bowl of berries in the middle of the table. The table looked as magical as a Christmas dream. Bella's heart glowed like her candle.

Friends Arrive

Soon, Bella heard a gentle tap at the door. “Come in, friends!” she called.

Squirrel, covered in snowflakes, scampered in. “It's so cold outside, but it's warm in here!” Squirrel laughed.

Hedgehog waddled in, her nose twitching. “I smell fresh bread,” she said.

Robin fluttered in, his red breast bright as a holly berry. “The snow is falling, but the candles are shining.”

Mouse peeked in, small and shy. “I brought a little cheese to share,” said Mouse.

Bella clapped her paws. “Welcome, friends! The table is set for all of us. Let's share together.”

They all sat down. Bella gave each friend their special plate. The candle flickered and filled the room with golden light. “Snow outside, candles glowing, friends are here, hearts are knowing.”

Sharing and Joy

The friends ate together and talked and laughed. The bread was warm, the cheese was soft, the nuts were crunchy, and the berries were sweet. Bella watched her friends and felt her heart grow bigger and brighter, like the Christmas star.

“Thank you, Bella,” said Squirrel. “This is the nicest table I have ever seen.”

“You thought of all of us,” said Hedgehog.

“It feels like a Christmas hug,” said Robin.

Bella smiled. “When we share, Christmas shines brighter. When we care, Christmas feels warmer.”

The friends sang soft songs, like the bells ringing far away. “Ding, dong, ding, dong,” went the bells. The snow fell gently outside, wrapping the world in peace. The pine tree candle flickered, the little burrow glowed, and the friends felt safe and warm.

Soon, it was time for goodbyes. Each friend hugged Bella. “Merry Christmas, Bella,” they whispered. “Thank you for sharing your table.”

Bella watched her friends go, their footprints making tiny paths in the snow. She felt happy and peaceful. She blew out the candle and listened to the quiet bells. “Snow outside, candles glowing, love is here, hearts are knowing.”

That night, Bella Bunny snuggled into her soft bed. She remembered the laughter and the joy around the table. She knew that Christmas was about sharing, caring, and making everyone feel loved.

And as the snow fell softly, Bella drifted off to sleep, her heart shining like a candle in the night, full of Christmas peace and gentle dreams.
