Sunny the snake woke up in his soft, warm grass bed. “Good morning, tail!” he said. His tail waved a happy wiggle. Sunny slithered outside. The sun was bright. The sky was blue. It was a funny, wiggly day.
Sunny wanted to play. He saw his friend, Dotty the duck. Dotty was splashing in a puddle. “Come splash with me!” said Dotty.
Sunny tried to splash, but he was a snake. He wiggled and wobbled. Plop! His tail made a tiny splash. Dotty giggled. “Good splash, Sunny!” said Dotty.
Sunny saw Benny the bunny. Benny was hopping in a circle. “Come hop with me!” said Benny.
Sunny tried to hop, but he was a snake. He wiggled and rolled. Boing! He rolled into a soft bush. Benny giggled. “Nice roll, Sunny!” said Benny.
Sunny saw Tilly the turtle. Tilly was spinning on her shell. “Come spin with me!” said Tilly.
Sunny tried to spin, but he was a snake. He twisted and turned. Swish! He made a silly loop. Tilly giggled. “Funny loop, Sunny!” said Tilly.
Sunny felt happy. He could not splash like Dotty. He could not hop like Benny. He could not spin like Tilly. But he could wiggle! Sunny wiggled right, wiggled left, wiggled all around. His friends clapped. “Wiggle, Sunny, wiggle!” they cheered.
Sunny wiggled in a big circle. Dotty, Benny, and Tilly joined. They all wiggled and giggled. The grass shook. The leaves danced. The friends made a wiggly parade.
They laughed and played until the sun went down. Sunny smiled. He liked his wiggle. He liked his friends.
It is fun to play together, and everyone can do something special.
