Chapter 1: Summer Begins

Maya, Tom, and Lina sat together on the big blue carpet at the summer school. Sunlight made little shapes on the walls. Their teacher, Miss Rose, smiled at them.

“Hello, Maya. Hello, Tom. Hello, Lina,” said Miss Rose. “Are you ready for summer fun?”

“Yes!” said Maya. She clapped her hands.

“Yes!” said Tom. He bounced on his toes.

“Yes!” said Lina. She giggled softly.

Miss Rose held up a big book. The book was full of pictures. “Let's look at summer around the world,” said Miss Rose.

Maya looked at the book. “Look! These children are at the beach,” she said.

“They have sand. They have water,” said Tom.

“They build sandcastles. I like sandcastles,” said Lina.

Miss Rose turned the page. “These children are dancing outside. It is summer in their country. They have a summer party!”

“I like parties,” said Maya.

“I like music,” said Tom.

“I like to dance,” said Lina.

Miss Rose smiled. “We can have our own summer party, too.”

Chapter 2: Sharing and Learning

After story time, the children drew pictures. Maya drew a beach with blue water.

“This is my summer,” said Maya. “I like to swim.”

Tom drew a big sun and many little people. “This is my summer. I play with my friends outside,” said Tom.

Lina drew a picnic with her family. “We eat watermelon. We laugh,” said Lina.

Miss Rose looked at the pictures. “Your summers are wonderful. Every summer is special, she said.

Maya looked at her friends. “Can we share our summers?” she asked.

“Yes!” said Tom. “Let's tell our stories.”

Maya pointed to her picture. “In some places, people eat ice cream in summer.”

Tom nodded. “In some places, people watch fireworks. Boom! Boom!” he said, giggling.

Lina smiled. “In some places, people have summer lanterns. They shine in the dark.”

Miss Rose clapped her hands. “You are all learning about summer everywhere!”

Chapter 3: A Summer Party

The next day, the children wore bright clothes. The classroom was full of summer colors. There were yellow, blue, and green balloons.

Miss Rose put music on. “Let's have our summer party,” she said.

Maya danced with Tom. “I like your summer dance,” said Maya.

Tom laughed. “I like your dance, too.”

Lina twirled and clapped. “Summer is fun with friends,” she said.

Miss Rose brought watermelon. “Let's eat together,” she said.

Maya took a bite. “Yummy watermelon!” she said.

Tom smiled. “I like summer food,” he said.

Lina nodded. “I like eating with you.”

After the party, the children sat together. Maya said, “We learned about summer in many places.”

Tom said, “We played and danced and shared.”

Lina said, “Summer is happy with friends and family.”

Miss Rose hugged them. “You are all wonderful,” she said. “Every summer is special when we are together.”

The children smiled. The sun was shining. It was a happy summer day.
