Chapter 1: The Little Pencil
Once upon a time, in a bright and colorful art box, there lived a little pencil named Penny. Penny was a yellow pencil with a happy smile. She loved drawing and making beautiful pictures. Every day, Penny watched as the other pencils and crayons created amazing art.
One day, Penny noticed something. The big, strong crayons were always chosen first. The smaller pencils, like her, were often left behind. This made Penny feel sad. She wanted to show everyone that she could create beautiful art, too.
“I can draw just as well as the crayons!” Penny said to herself. “I will show them!”
Chapter 2: Drawing Day
The next day, it was Drawing Day in the art box. All the colors gathered around a big piece of paper. The crayons were excited. “We will make a big, colorful rainbow!” they said. They began to draw, filling the paper with bright colors. Penny felt a little nervous.
“Can I help?” she asked the crayons.
The biggest crayon, Red, looked down at Penny. “No, little pencil. Rainbows are for crayons. You should stick to tiny pictures.”
Penny felt her heart sink. But then, she remembered how much she loved to draw. “I can help!” she said again, her voice a little stronger.
The crayons looked at each other. “Okay, you can try,” Red replied.
Penny took a deep breath and began to draw. She drew soft clouds with her yellow color. They looked fluffy and happy. The crayons watched in surprise.
“Look at those clouds!” said Blue, a crayon. “They are so nice!”
Penny smiled wide. She felt happy to be part of the team.
Chapter 3: The Beautiful Rainbow
As the crayons continued to draw, Penny kept adding her special touch. “I can make the grass!” she shouted and drew bright green grass at the bottom of the paper. Everyone was cheering her on now.
“You are really good at this, Penny!” cheered Pink.
Soon, the rainbow and the sky were full of colors. Penny had made the clouds and the grass, and they all looked wonderful together.
Finally, the big picture was complete. The crayons and Penny stepped back to admire their work. They had created the most beautiful rainbow ever!
“We did it together!” Penny said happily.
The crayons all agreed. “Yes! It was much more fun with you, Penny.”
From that day on, Penny was never left behind. She showed everyone that pencils could make beautiful art, too. They all learned that it doesn't matter if you are a crayon or a pencil. Everyone can create wonderful things together.
And that made them all very happy.
