Lila woke up. The sun was shining. It was winter! Lila looked outside. The ground was white. "Snow!" she squealed.

Lila put on her warm coat. "Coat on!" she said. She put on her fuzzy hat. "Hat on!" she giggled. She put on her soft mittens. "Mittens on!" she clapped her hands.

Lila ran outside. The snow was cold and soft. "Look, Mommy! Snow!" she exclaimed.

Mommy smiled. "Yes, Lila! It's winter! Let's play!"

Lila and Mommy made a snowman. They rolled big snowballs. "Big snowball!" Lila shouted. They made a tiny snowball for the nose. "Tiny nose!" she laughed. They found two buttons for the eyes. "Eyes are black!" Lila cheered.

Lila and Mommy decorated the snowman. They added a scarf. "Scarf is red!" Lila said, pulling it tight. They gave him a hat. "Hat is blue!" Mommy added. "He looks happy!"

After the snowman, they went to the winter market. The market was full of lights. "So pretty!" Lila gasped. There were stalls with treats. Lila saw hot cocoa. "Cocoa please!" she asked.

Mommy got a cup. "Here you go, Lila!" she said. Lila took a sip. "Yummy cocoa!" she smiled.

They strolled through the market. Lila saw people singing. "Sing, Mommy!" she clapped. Mommy sang a happy winter song. Lila giggled and danced.

Next, they saw a little girl making cookies. "Cookies!" Lila pointed. The girl smiled. "Want to help?" she asked.

"Yes!" Lila cheered. They mixed flour and sugar. "Mix, mix, mix!" Lila sang. They shaped the cookies. "Star cookie!" Lila squealed.

After baking, they shared cookies with friends. "Cookies are sweet!" Lila said, munching happily.

As the sun set, Lila felt warm inside. "I love winter!" she said.

Mommy hugged her tight. "Winter is special, Lila. We make happy memories."

Lila nodded. "Happy memories!" she echoed.

Winter was a time for fun, love, and joy. Lila smiled. She knew she would remember this day forever.
