Benny the horse had a big, brown hat. He loved his hat. One sunny day, Benny wanted to play. "I want to play hop-hop!" he said.
Benny hopped to the pond. "Ribbit, ribbit," said Froggy. "Hello, Benny!"
"Hello, Froggy!" said Benny. "Let's play hop-hop!"
Froggy laughed. "Okay, Benny, let's hop!"
Benny hopped. Froggy hopped. They hopped together. Hop, hop, hop!
But oh no, Benny's hat fell off! Plop! Into the pond it went.
"Oh dear," said Benny. "My hat is wet!"
Froggy giggled. "Your hat is a boat now, Benny!"
Benny looked. His hat floated like a little boat. "Oh, what fun!" he said.
Froggy jumped into the hat-boat. "Ribbit, ribbit! I'm the captain!" he said.
Benny laughed. "Can I be the sailor?" he asked.
"Yes, sailor Benny!" said Froggy. "Let's sail!"
The hat-boat went round and round. Froggy and Benny laughed and laughed.
"Look at us!" said Benny. "We are sailors!"
"Yes, we are!" said Froggy. "Sailing is fun!"
The sun was warm. The pond was cool. Benny and Froggy were happy.
Then, Froggy said, "Time to go back, sailor Benny!"
Benny nodded. "Yes, captain Froggy!" he said.
They hopped out of the hat-boat. Benny's hat was wet, but Benny was happy.
"Thank you, Froggy!" Benny said. "That was fun!"
"Ribbit, ribbit! Anytime, Benny!" said Froggy.
Benny put on his wet hat. It felt funny, but Benny just laughed.
"Let's hop more tomorrow!" said Benny.
"Yes, more hop-hop!" said Froggy.
Benny and Froggy waved goodbye. They were very good friends. The end.
