The Big Birthday Morning
In a little village, there lived a girl named Lily. Lily was almost three years old, and today was her birthday! She woke up with a big smile. "Today is my special day!" she said, jumping out of bed.
Lily's mom and dad were in the kitchen. "Good morning, birthday girl!" they said, hugging her tight. "Good morning!" Lily giggled. "What's for breakfast?"
"Your favorite—pancakes with lots of syrup!" Mom said. Lily clapped her hands and sat at the table. Her little sister, Daisy, who was still a baby, gurgled happily in her high chair.
After breakfast, Lily put on her favorite dress. It was pink with shiny stars. She twirled around and said, "I'm ready for my party!"
The Surprise Adventure
Lily's friends, Mia and Emma, came knocking at the door. "Happy birthday, Lily!" they shouted. Lily opened the door and hugged them. "Thank you! Let's play!" she said.
Just then, a funny thing happened. A gust of wind blew through the door, and balloons floated out of the house! "Oh no! The balloons!" Lily cried.
"Don't worry," said Mia. "Let's catch them!" So, Lily, Mia, and Emma ran outside, giggling and chasing the balloons down the street.
As they ran, they saw Mr. Green, the friendly gardener. "Hello, girls! Are you chasing those balloons?" he chuckled.
"Yes!" said Emma. "They're for Lily's party!"
"Well, I can help," said Mr. Green. He gave them a big net. "This will catch them for sure."
The girls thanked Mr. Green and ran after the balloons. They caught one, two, three balloons! "Hooray!" they cheered.
The Best Party Ever
With all the balloons safely caught, the girls returned to Lily's house. Mom had set up a lovely table in the garden. There were cookies, juice, and a big birthday cake.
"Time for the party!" said Dad, bringing out the cake. Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Lily. She blew out the candles and made a wish.
"What did you wish for?" Mia asked.
Lily giggled. "I wished for more adventures with my friends!"
After cake, they played games. They danced, sang, and even had a funny puppet show with Dad. Lily's cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
As the sun began to set, Lily's friends hugged her goodbye. "Thank you for the best birthday ever," Lily said, waving as they left.
Back inside, Lily snuggled on the couch with Mom, Dad, and baby Daisy. "Today was so much fun," she whispered, feeling sleepy.
"Yes, it was," said Mom softly. "And tomorrow will be another wonderful day."
With her eyes closing, Lily thought about balloons, friends, and the joy of surprises. Her birthday was filled with laughter and love—a day she would always remember. And with that happy thought, Lily drifted off to sleep, dreaming of more magical adventures.
