Chapter 1: Bear's Birthday Morning

Bear woke up with a wiggle and a giggle. Today was Bear's birthday! The sun peeked through the window. “Good morning, Birthday Bear,” whispered the sunshine.

Bear stretched his fuzzy arms. “It's my special day!” he chuckled. All around his cozy den, there were sparkling balloons, colorful hats, and a beautiful string of twinkling lights. Bear smiled, but then—oh!—one end of the shiny light garland was dark. The lights were not all glowing.

Bear blinked. “Oh no,” he said softly, “my birthday lights are sleepy.” He tried tapping them. He tried singing, “Wake up, little lights!” But the lights stayed quiet and dim.

Just then, Bunny hopped in with a big, bouncy smile. “Happy birthday, Bear! What's wrong?”

“My lights won't shine,” Bear sighed.

Bunny's ears wiggled. “Let's fix them together!” Bunny cheered.

Bear and Bunny gently touched the lights. “Light, light, shine so bright!” sang Bunny. But still, the dark end stayed dark.

Chapter 2: Friends to the Rescue

Soon, Squirrel scampered in. “Happy birthday, Bear! Why do you look worried?”

Bear explained, “My birthday garland is not working.”

Squirrel grinned. “Let's try together!” Squirrel poked and patted the lights. Still, no twinkle.

Next, Duck waddled over with a ribbon in her beak. “Happy birthday, Bear! Oh, are your lights shy?”

Bear nodded. “They're sleeping, I think.”

Duck quacked, “Let's give them a gentle shake!” So, Bear, Bunny, Squirrel, and Duck all shook the garland gently, laughing together. “Wake up, lights! It's Bear's birthday!” they cheered.

Suddenly, the dark end flickered. One tiny light blinked, then another, and then—pop!—the whole garland sparkled and glowed.

Bear's eyes shone bright. “Thank you, friends! You helped my lights shine.”

Bunny giggled, “We're the birthday light team!”

Squirrel spun in a circle. “Let's celebrate now!”

Duck flapped her wings. “Time for cake!” she quacked.

They all danced around the twinkling lights. Bear felt warm and happy inside. He hugged his friends tight.

“Best birthday ever,” Bear whispered. He wasn't just happy about the lights. He was happiest because his friends were there, laughing and helping together.

That night, Bear's den glowed softly. The lights twinkled. The friends cuddled close, full of cake and giggles. Bear closed his eyes, smiling, safe and loved, with his friends by his side.
