Grandma Kesi, an elderly woman with a gentle, wrinkled face, wears a traditional dress with vibrant patterns. She stands next to Zuri, arms open, displaying a proud and loving smile. The well is surrounded by bright flowers and lush greenery, under a large baobab tree with extended branches, while the sun shines in a clear blue sky. Zuri and Grandma sing the water song together, surrounded by villagers dancing and clapping, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. report a problem with this image

Chapter 1

“Wake up, little Zuri,” whispers Grandma Kesi, her voice soft as the morning wind. “The sun is climbing the baobab tree.”

Zuri yawns and rubs her eyes. “Grandma, why is the sun so bright today?”

“Because it is a special day,” says Grandma, wrapping Zuri in her big, warm arms. “Today, you will help the village.”

Zuri's heart flutters like a bright butterfly. “Me? Help the whole village?”

“Yes, my dear. Our well is sleepy. The water is hiding. We need to sing the Water Song, but the song is missing a word. Only you can find it.”

Zuri thinks. “Where do I look, Grandma?”

“Ask the wise ones,” says Grandma, smiling like the gentle moon. “And remember, always listen with your heart.”

Zuri runs outside. The sky is a big blue blanket. The tall baobab tree waves its arms in the breeze.

Zuri calls, “Hello, Baobab! Do you know the missing word for the Water Song?”

The tree's voice rustles, slow and deep. “Zuri, listen to your laughter. The river loves joy. Maybe the word is ‘happy.'”

Zuri giggles. “Thank you, Baobab!”

She skips to the river. The water dances and sparkles in the morning sun.

“Hello, River! Do you know the missing word for the Water Song?”

The river sings, “Zuri, listen to your feet. The well loves gentle steps. Maybe the word is ‘soft.'”

Zuri smiles and pats the water. “Thank you, River!”

She walks to the big anthill. The ants march in a line, busy and strong.

“Hello, Ants! Do you know the missing word for the Water Song?”

The Queen Ant peeks out and says, “Zuri, look at your hands. The village loves kind hands. Maybe the word is ‘help.'”

Zuri claps her hands. “Thank you, Ants!”

Chapter 2

Zuri walks home, thinking of the three words. Happy, soft, help.

Grandma is waiting. “Did you find the word, Zuri?”

“I found three! ‘Happy.' ‘Soft.' ‘Help.' But I don't know which one is right.”

Grandma hugs Zuri close. “Sometimes, the answer is all around you.”

Zuri looks at the happy faces of the children. She hears the soft song of the wind. She sees the helpful hands of the elders.

Zuri smiles. “Maybe all the words are right, Grandma!”

Grandma nods. “Let's sing together, Zuri. With happy hearts, soft voices, and helping hands.”

They walk to the well. Everyone gathers. Zuri starts the song with a big, bright smile:

“Water, water, come and play,

With happy hearts, we sing today.

With soft voices, we call your name,

With helping hands, we end our game.”

The well shivers. The water rises, cool and clear, like a gift from the clouds.

Everyone cheers. The elders clap. The children dance in the fresh water.

Grandma laughs, her eyes shining. “You did it, Zuri. You brought the water back. With joy, kindness, and help.”

Zuri hugs Grandma. “I am happy. My heart is full.”

Grandma whispers, “When we help with love, magic always comes home.”

And the village, wrapped in the golden sun, feels safe and warm, just like a big family.
