Chapter One: The Sparkly Snow Morning
Soft snowflakes fell outside the small red house. The world looked all white and quiet. Max and Leo, two little boys, pressed their noses against the window. Their cheeks were rosy and round.
“Snow is everywhere!” said Max with a happy giggle.
Leo nodded, his eyes bright. “It's Christmas soon!”
Inside, the house smelled sweet like cinnamon and warm cookies. The Christmas tree twinkled with gold lights and shiny ornaments shaped like stars and bells. There was a tiny wooden train going round and round the tree, making soft chug-chug sounds.
Max and Leo wore fuzzy red pajamas with green stripes. They both had little slippers with snowmen on them.
“Let's make a plan,” said Max. “A plan for Christmas dinner!”
Leo clapped his hands. “Yes, for everyone to sit! With the big table and the little chairs!”
They got out a big white paper and crayons. Max drew a long table, and Leo made round chairs in bright colors. They put a star in the middle for a centerpiece.
“Who will sit where?” asked Leo.
Max thought. “Mommy here. Daddy next to her. Grandma by the window. Grandpa close to the tree. You and me together at the end!”
Leo smiled. “And Teddy!”
Of course, Teddy! Their soft brown bear with a red scarf. Max drew a small square for Teddy's seat.
The boys looked at their plan. It was bright and happy, full of squiggly lines and big red hearts.
“Everyone will fit,” said Leo. “Everyone will be cozy.”
Chapter Two: The Magical Table Game
The morning was filled with giggles and soft music. Max and Leo tiptoed around the living room, placing little cards with names on the chairs. The cards had sparkly stickers and snowflakes.
“Max sits here!” said Leo, putting his card down.
“Teddy sits here!” said Max, giving Teddy a tiny chair and a soft pat on the head.
Grandma came in, her sweater soft and green. “What are you two busy elves doing?” she asked gently.
“We made a plan for dinner!” said Max. “Everyone has their own place.”
Grandpa shuffled in, humming a Christmas song. “So smart,” he said kindly. “Can I sit by the tree?”
Leo nodded. “Yes! We made you a tree card.”
Mommy peeked in from the kitchen, her cheeks pink from baking. “The table looks beautiful, boys,” she said. “Can you help with the napkins?”
Max and Leo nodded. They folded red and green napkins into funny shapes. Some looked like mountains. Some looked like hats.
Soon, the table was ready. Every chair had a card. Teddy's chair had a tiny cookie. Outside, the snowflakes fell softly, making the windows sparkle.
Leo whispered, “It's like magic.”
Max nodded. “Christmas magic.”
Chapter Three: The Cozy Christmas Game
After dinner, the family played a special game. It was the “Where's the Jingle Bell?” game. Someone would hide a shiny jingle bell, and everyone would look for it. There was laughter and little feet running quietly on the carpet.
Teddy got to play too. Max hid the bell under Teddy's red scarf.
Grandpa found it. “Teddy is jingling!” he said, smiling.
Everyone clapped and cheered. The room was warm and filled with love.
The lights on the tree glowed softly. The boys curled up on the couch with their family. Max rested his head on Leo's shoulder.
“Best Christmas ever,” whispered Max.
Leo nodded, sleepy and happy. “Yes. Because we're all together.”
Mommy tucked a soft blanket around them. The snow outside kept falling. Inside, everything was safe and bright.
The Christmas magic was all around, sparkling in the air, wrapping everyone up like a gentle hug.
Max and Leo closed their eyes, dreaming of twinkling lights, sweet songs, and happy games, knowing that Christmas is warmest when hearts are close together.
