In the soft, golden light of the morning, a little velociraptor named Rivi woke up in her cozy nest. Her nest was made of big, soft leaves and tiny, sparkling stones. She lived in a green valley, full of sweet-smelling flowers and tall, waving ferns. The valley was quiet and peaceful. Rivi loved her home very much.
At the heart of the valley was a special place. It was the Rainbow Pool, where the water was bright and shiny. Sometimes, sunlight made little rainbows dance on the pool. The dinosaurs said the Rainbow Pool was magical. Rivi believed it. The other dinosaurs came to drink, splash, and play, but they were always gentle and careful.
Rivi had a very important job. She was the Guardian of the Rainbow Pool. That meant she watched over the pool and made sure it stayed clean, shiny, and safe. Rivi was proud. She wanted all the dinosaurs to feel happy and safe at the pool.
One sunny morning, Rivi walked to the pool. She saw her friend Tula, the triceratops, drinking water. “Good morning, Tula!” Rivi said with a smile.
“Good morning, Rivi!” said Tula. “The water is so cool and sweet today.”
“I'm happy you like it,” said Rivi. She looked around the pool. The flowers were bright yellow and pink. The water sparkled like tiny stars. Rivi felt proud and calm.
Suddenly, a little stegosaurus named Milo came running. “Rivi! Rivi!” he called. “Look!” Milo held up a shiny blue shell. “I found this near the Rainbow Pool. Can I put it in the water?”
Rivi thought. She liked the shell. It was pretty. But the Rainbow Pool was special. Rivi wanted to keep it just right. “That's a lovely shell, Milo,” Rivi said. “But the pool is happier with just water and rainbow stones. Maybe you can put your shell beside the pool, on the soft moss.”
Milo smiled. “Okay, Rivi! Thank you!” He put the shell on the moss. The sun made the shell shimmer. It looked happy too.
Just then, Rivi saw some big leaves floating in the pool. The wind had blown them in. “Oh dear,” said Rivi. She hurried over. She used her little claws to gently pull the leaves from the water. The pool sparkled again.
“Good job, Rivi!” called Tula.
“Thank you, Tula,” said Rivi, feeling warm inside.
More dinosaur friends came to the pool. There was Luna, the gentle brachiosaurus, and Pippin, the tiny compsognathus. They all drank and played. Rivi watched over everyone. She felt proud and happy.
Soon, the sun started to go down. The sky turned orange and pink. Rivi sat by the Rainbow Pool and listened to the soft sounds of the water. The air was cool and sweet. The dinosaurs were sleepy and calm.
Tula came to Rivi. “Thank you for taking care of the pool,” she said.
Rivi smiled. “I love our special place. I want everyone to be safe and happy.”
The Rainbow Pool glowed softly in the evening light. Rivi closed her eyes for a moment. She knew she had done her job. The valley was safe. The pool was clean. Her friends were happy.
As gentle stars began to twinkle in the sky, Rivi curled up by the sparkling water. She listened to the soft song of the pool and the quiet sounds of night. Rivi felt safe, warm, and loved. And so did all her dinosaur friends.
