Chapter 1: Percy's Big Plan
Percy the pig was not your ordinary pig. He was pink, plump, and always up to something. While other pigs were happy to roll in the mud or nap under the apple trees, Percy loved adventure. And not just any adventure—Percy liked the silly kind.
One sunny afternoon in the village of Wiggletown, Percy heard the news he'd been waiting for all year. The Annual Animal Ridiculous Race was coming! This was not just any race. No, no. It was the silliest event in all of Wiggletown. Last year, a goat had tried to ride a skateboard, and the year before, a parrot had worn roller skates and sung opera.
Percy's curly tail twitched with excitement. “This year, I'm going to win!” he snorted to himself, his snout wiggling. He needed a plan, something so funny and unexpected that the judges would snort with laughter.
Percy trotted over to his best friend, Millie the meerkat, who was busy balancing three apples on her head. “Millie! I need your help,” Percy oinked. “I want to win the Ridiculous Race, but I need a super silly idea.”
Millie grinned. “What about a pie-eating race?” she suggested.
Percy shook his head. “I'd eat all the pies before the race even started!”
Just then, Lenny the llama strolled by, wearing sunglasses and a sparkly scarf. “Why not a backwards race?” Lenny said. “Walking backwards is hilarious!”
Percy tried walking backwards and immediately bumped into a bush. “Oink! Maybe I need more practice,” he giggled, pulling leaves from his ears.
After much thinking, Percy had a lightbulb moment. “I've got it! I'll enter the race on rollerblades, dressed as a giant banana!” he declared.
Millie clapped her paws. “That's the silliest idea yet!”
Percy and Millie spent the rest of the afternoon finding yellow fabric, sewing banana peels, and searching for rollerblades big enough for Percy's chubby piggy feet.
Chapter 2: The Wild Warm-Up
The night before the big race, Percy snuck out to the village square for some secret rollerblading practice. The moon was bright, and the square was quiet—except for the sound of Percy's snorts and wheels squeaking.
He wobbled, he slipped, he spun in circles. “Whoa!” Percy squealed as he crashed into a stack of empty carrot crates. Carrots flew everywhere, and Percy found one stuck behind his ear.
Suddenly, he heard giggles behind a bush. Out popped Geraldine the giraffe, her head poking out like a periscope. “Practicing for the big race?” she asked, munching on a carrot.
Percy blushed. “I want to be ready. I'm not the best at rollerblading.”
Geraldine bent down and whispered, “Don't worry, Percy. I once tried to skip rope with my neck. If I can do that, you can rollerblade as a banana!”
Just then, a parade of animals arrived: Frankie the fox on a pogo stick, Daisy the duck with a unicycle, and Bob the beaver wearing a tutu. They all wanted to practice, too.
Soon, the square turned into a circus! Frankie bounced into a lamppost, Daisy quacked as she spun in circles, and Bob tried pirouettes. Percy laughed so hard he nearly fell over (again).
“Let's have a warm-up contest!” Millie shouted. “Who can make the silliest move?”
Percy slid across the square, wiggling his banana costume, arms flapping wildly. The others cheered and joined in. By the end, everyone was rolling on the ground, giggling so much their sides hurt.
Chapter 3: The Ridiculous Race
The big day arrived. The village square was full of cheering animals. Banners flapped in the breeze, and confetti floated through the air. Percy was nervous but excited. He squeezed into his banana suit, strapped on his rollerblades, and took a deep breath.
The mayor of Wiggletown, a wise old tortoise with a shiny whistle, called everyone to the starting line. “On your marks… get set… GO!”
Percy took off, wobbling and waving his arms. Behind him, Lenny the llama galloped backwards, Daisy the duck pedaled her unicycle, and Frankie bounced high above the crowd.
Suddenly, Percy's rollerblades took on a mind of their own. He spun in circles, slipping and sliding, his banana peel flapping wildly. “Oink! Look out!” he squealed as he zoomed past the judges, popcorn flying everywhere.
He rolled right into Bob the beaver, and together they spun like a top. The crowd roared with laughter as Percy and Bob ended up tangled in confetti, still spinning.
Geraldine the giraffe tried to limbo under the finish line, but her neck was too long. She got stuck and started giggling so hard she couldn't move. Millie did a backflip and landed in a pile of pies. All the animals cheered and clapped.
In the end, nobody really knew who won. Everyone was too busy laughing, covered in confetti, pie, and carrot sticks. The mayor wiped his glasses and announced, “This year's winners are… ALL OF YOU! For being the silliest, funniest, and friendliest racers ever!”
Percy grinned from ear to ear, his banana hat crooked and one rollerblade missing. He was tired, sticky, and happier than ever.
Chapter 4: The Silliest Celebration
That night, the village threw a huge party. There was music, dancing, and a pie-eating contest (which Percy won, of course). The animals told stories of their silly race, each one funnier than the last.
Percy and his friends danced under the twinkling stars, wearing their ridiculous costumes and laughing about their wild adventures. Even Geraldine, still wearing a pie on her head, joined in the conga line.
As the party ended, Percy flopped down on the grass, surrounded by his friends. “I didn't win the race,” he snorted, “but I think I had the most fun ever.”
His friends agreed, giggling and snorting, their hearts full of joy and their bellies full of pie. And from that day on, everyone in Wiggletown knew that the best adventures were the ones you shared—with laughter, silliness, and a little bit of banana.
