Chapter 1: Percy's Perfect Party Plan
Percy the pig bounced out of bed and landed with a happy plop. “Today is The Day!” he squealed, almost bouncing again. It was the day of his big party for all the animals in Buttercup Meadow. Not just any party—Percy wanted it to be the most fantastic, fun-filled, unforgettable pig party ever!
He rushed to his list, which was longer than his tail and much curlier. “Balloons? Check! Carrot cupcakes? Check! Silly hats? Triple check!” Percy grinned at each line. “This will be perfect,” he said, taping a wobbly sign to his barn: PERCY'S PARTY—ALL CRITTERS WELCOME!
He grabbed his favorite rainbow bow tie and trotted to the garden, humming his “Party Pig Jig” song. Just then, his best friend, Millie the mole, popped out from a fresh hole. “Percy! Is it time for the party?” she asked, wiggling her tiny nose.
“Not yet! But you can help me get ready,” said Percy, juggling a stack of paper hats. Millie jumped in. She started blowing up balloons. Percy glued googly eyes to apples. They giggled and danced around the party table, setting everything just right.
Suddenly, Freddie the fox zipped in, carrying a wobbly tower of jelly cups on his back. “Special delivery!” Freddie cried. “Try not to sneeze or—”
“Achoo!” sneezed Percy, and the jelly jiggled so hard it almost bounced off. Everyone laughed as Percy caught a jelly cup on his nose.
“Maybe I need a jelly proof nose,” said Percy, making them giggle even harder.
Chapter 2: Decorations and Disasters
Percy wanted everything to be as spectacular as possible. He tied streamers between the sunflowers, and Millie stuck stickers on every leaf she found. Freddie balanced plates on his tail and set up the cake table, but every time a plate clinked, he jumped in surprise.
“Should we play a game?” asked Millie.
“Games come later,” said Percy. “First, we need the surprise centerpiece!” He pointed to a box in the middle of the lawn marked “SUPER SECRET.” It wobbled, just a little, but Percy pretended not to notice.
Freddie eyed the box. “Is it a new party game?” he asked.
Percy grinned, “It's a secret! Wait and see.”
Suddenly, a gust of wind whooshed through the garden, sending hats, napkins, and even one of Percy's curly tail ribbons swirling into the sky. Percy, Millie, and Freddie chased after them, leaping and laughing. Millie grabbed a balloon just before it floated away. Freddie caught a flying napkin between his teeth.
Percy snatched his own tail ribbon, but ended up rolling right into the wobbly “SUPER SECRET” box. Thump! The box bounced, and something inside squeaked, “Oink!”
Percy froze. “I think my surprise is awake,” he whispered.
Millie and Freddie peeked at the box, eyes wide as saucers. The box gave another bounce, like a happy piglet on a trampoline.
Chapter 3: Guests, Giggles, and a Jumping Cushion
Soon, all the invited animals started to arrive. Bella the bunny hopped in carrying a basket of berry tarts. Gerald the goose waddled over with wobbling watermelons. Even Sally the snail arrived, gliding slowly with a swirly shell decorated for the party.
“Wow, Percy, what a setup!” said Bella, eyeing the decorations.
“Just wait until you see the surprise!” Percy clapped his hooves. He glanced nervously at the secret box, which seemed to be wiggling more than ever.
The games began. First was “Pin the Tail on the Donkey,” but since there was no donkey, Percy drew a picture of himself instead. Everyone wore silly hats and tried to stick a curly tail somewhere on Percy's picture. Millie giggled, “I think your tail is on your nose now, Percy!”
Next was “Musical Hay Bales.” Gerald honked out the music, and every time it stopped, the animals scrambled to sit. Bella did the splits, and Freddie spun in a circle, landing face-first in a pile of hay. Percy was laughing so hard, he snorted milk out his nose. “This is the silliest party ever!” he said.
But then—bang! The SUPER SECRET box burst open, and out shot the bounciest, squishiest, noisiest cushion anyone had ever seen. It looked a bit like a flying pancake, but with more bounce. SPLAT! It landed right in the middle of the party.
The cushion bounced once, then twice, then whoosh—it launched Percy straight into the air! All the animals stared as Percy soared over the lemonade table and landed, giggling with surprise, right on top of the cake. “Percy's patented flying pig trick!” he shouted, waving his hooves.
The animals cheered and clapped. Bella laughed so much she fell backwards into the berry tart basket. Millie wiped frosting off Percy's nose. “I think your surprise is a hit!” she said.
Chapter 4: Surprises and Secrets
After everyone had a turn jumping on the magical bouncing cushion, Percy called everyone together. “Now, for the big secret!” he announced. Freddie, wiping jelly off his fur, whispered, “What could it be?”
Percy beamed at his friends. “You've all been so patient, waiting for my surprise. But the real secret is…” He paused dramatically. All the animals leaned in. “There is no secret! The party is the surprise! I just wanted us all together, laughing and being silly.”
The animals blinked, then burst into giggles. Gerald shook his feathers. “That's the silliest secret I've ever heard,” he honked.
Millie nodded, “And the best party ever!” She handed Percy a hat shaped like a pig's head. “For the Party Pig King!”
Percy bowed, nearly tripping over the bouncing cushion, which gave a happy boing. “Thank you for waiting and for being the best friends. Sometimes, good things are worth waiting for—even if it's just a party with a flying pig and a jumping pancake cushion.”
Chapter 5: Party Puddles and Pancake Hugs
As the sun began to set, the party animals lay on their backs, bellies full of snacks, watching clouds drift by. The bouncing cushion had become a favorite seat for everyone. Percy, still wearing his rainbow bow tie (now with a bit of cupcake on it), smiled at his friends.
“Who knew patience could be so much fun?” Bella said, licking berry jam off her paws.
Freddie twirled his tail. “And who knew a flying pig was real?”
Percy shrugged. “Anything's possible at a party with friends. Even pancake cushions and jiggly surprises!”
“Next year,” Millie giggled, “let's make the cushion launch TWO pigs at once!”
Percy pretended to faint. “Two flying pigs? The meadow isn't ready!”
All the animals laughed. The sky turned pink and orange, and Percy felt happier than ever. The party hadn't been perfect, but it had been perfectly silly—and that was even better.
As the friends hugged goodbye, Percy gave the bouncing cushion one last squeeze. “Thank you, cushion. You made my party the best ever!” The cushion gave a little boing, as if to say, “Any time, Party Pig.”
And with that, Percy and his animal friends trotted home, dreams full of bouncy, silly surprises, and the promise of more pancakes and patience next year.
