Chapter 1: Oh No, No Gift!

It was Mother's Day morning. The sun was shining bright, the birds were singing, and the whole city was smiling. Ben woke up with a big yawn and a stretch. He rolled out of bed and ran to his window. He saw balloons on the street, pink and yellow and blue!

Ben's best friends, Mia and Sam, were waving at him from outside. Mia wore her red hat. Sam had his silly green shoes. Ben waved back. He felt happy!

But then, Ben's eyes grew big. His heart thumped. “Oh no!” he gasped. “I forgot to make a gift for Mom!”

Ben ran to the kitchen. Mom was making pancakes and singing a happy song. She wore her favorite blue dress. She smiled at Ben. “Good morning, my little sunshine!”

Ben wanted to say, “Happy Mother's Day!” but he felt shy. He had nothing to give her. He hugged Mom tight instead. Mom hugged him back. “You are my best hugger!” she said.

Ben whispered, “I need to go outside with Mia and Sam. Is that okay, Mom?”

Mom winked. “Of course, sweetie! Have fun!”

Ben ran outside. Mia and Sam waved again. “Happy Mother's Day!” they shouted.

Ben whispered, “I forgot to make a gift for my mom!”

Mia giggled, “Me too!”

Sam nodded, “Me three!”

They all laughed. “What do we do now?” asked Sam.

“We need to find something special for our moms,” said Ben. “Let's look around the city!”

The three friends held hands. They skipped down the street, ready for a big adventure.

Chapter 2: The City of Surprises

The city was full of colors and smiles. There were flowers everywhere—yellow daisies, purple tulips, pink roses. The shops had balloons and signs: “Happy Mother's Day!”

The children peeked in a bakery. The baker wore a tall white hat. He was making heart-shaped cookies. Sweet smells danced in the air.

Ben whispered, “Maybe we can buy cookies for our moms!”

Mia checked her pockets. “I have one shiny button.”

Sam looked. “I have a paperclip.”

Ben blinked. “I have a rock. It's a nice rock.”

They all laughed. “We can't buy cookies,” said Mia. “But they sure smell yummy!”

The baker waved. “Would you like to try a cookie?” he asked. “Today, all moms get a free cookie!”

Ben shook his head. “We want to give a gift to our moms, not eat it ourselves!”

The baker smiled. “How about you three help me put sprinkles on the cookies? Then you can take one home for your moms!”

The children cheered, “Yes, please!”

They sprinkled red, green, and blue sprinkles everywhere. Sprinkles on the cookies. Sprinkles on their noses. Sprinkles on the floor! The baker laughed, “You are the silliest sprinkle helpers!”

When they finished, the baker wrapped three heart cookies in shiny paper. “For your moms,” he said.

Ben, Mia, and Sam said, “Thank you!” and waved goodbye.

Chapter 3: The Big Community Party

The children skipped along the street. They saw a big sign: “Mother's Day Party in the Park!”

“Let's go!” shouted Mia.

The park was full of people. There were long tables with flowers and cakes. There was music, and everyone was dancing. Moms wore flower crowns. Kids wore big smiles.

Ben saw his mom, Mia's mom, and Sam's mom. They were laughing together. Ben felt warm inside.

A lady with a big hat called, “All kids, come decorate cards for your moms!”

Ben, Mia, and Sam ran to the table. There were markers, stickers, glue, and glitter. So much glitter!

Ben drew a picture of him and his mom holding hands. He wrote, “I love you, Mom!” in big letters.

Mia made a card with a giant heart and a silly cat. She wrote, “You are the best mom in the world!”

Sam glued so many stickers, his card looked like a rainbow. He wrote, “Mom, you are magic!”

The children giggled. They got glue on their fingers and glitter on their cheeks. It was messy and fun.

When the cards were ready, Ben said, “Now we have two gifts for our moms! A cookie and a card!”

Mia clapped. “Our moms will be so happy!”

Sam grinned. “Let's give them our gifts!”

Chapter 4: The Best Mother's Day Ever

Ben, Mia, and Sam ran to their moms. “Happy Mother's Day!” they shouted together.

Ben gave his mom the shiny cookie and the sparkly card. Mia and Sam did the same for their moms.

Their moms smiled big, happy smiles. Ben's mom hugged him tight. “Thank you, my sweet boy! This is the best gift ever.”

Mia's mom kissed her on the forehead. “You made my day so special!”

Sam's mom laughed. “I love my rainbow card and my sprinkle cookie!”

Ben felt proud. He didn't buy a gift. He didn't have money. But he used his hands, his heart, and his friends. That was enough.

The music played in the park. Ben, Mia, and Sam danced with their moms. They twirled and giggled. Ben's mom spun him around and around. He laughed so much, he almost fell down.

Ben looked at his mom. “I love you, Mom,” he said.

His mom smiled. “I love you too, Ben. Every little thing you do makes me happy.”

Mia and Sam hugged their moms. The three friends hugged each other. The moms hugged too.

The sun shone bright. The balloons floated in the sky. The city was full of love, laughter, and lots of sprinkles.

And that is how Ben, Mia, and Sam learned that the best gifts are made with love, smiles, and a little bit of glitter. Every little thing counts, especially on Mother's Day.
