The Silly Slipper Search

Once upon a time, there was a friendly little dragon named Doodle. Doodle was soft, green, and very, very bouncy. He loved to go on silly adventures with his best friends, Button the mouse and Pip the cat.

One evening, just before bedtime, Doodle found something strange. “Oh no!” he said. “Where is my bedtime slipper? I have one, but not two! How can I sleep with only one slipper?”

Button wiggled his tiny pink nose. “Maybe your slipper is hiding!” he giggled.

Pip purred, “Let's find that silly slipper! This is a job for the Bedtime Detectives!”

Doodle grinned. “Let's go, Bedtime Detectives! We must solve the Mystery of the Missing Slipper!”

The Giggle Garden

The three friends tiptoed into the garden. The moon was big and bright. Doodle looked under the blue flower pot. No slipper. Pip peeked behind the giggle bush. No slipper. Button crawled into the watering can. No slipper—just a splash! Water went everywhere. “Oh! Water in my whiskers!” squeaked Button. Everyone laughed and laughed.

Suddenly, they heard a funny sound. “Snuffle, snuffle, snort!” Out came Tilly the hedgehog, wearing something fluffy on her head.

Doodle blinked. “Tilly, what's on your head?”

Tilly giggled. “I found this soft hat in the grass. It's very cozy.”

Pip looked closer. “That's not a hat, Tilly. That's Doodle's slipper!”

Tilly gasped. “Oh! Is it? I thought it was a bedtime hat!”

Everyone laughed again. Doodle bowed. “Thank you for keeping my slipper warm, Tilly!”

Bedtime for Detectives

With both slippers back, Doodle yawned a big dragon yawn. Pip and Button yawned too. Tilly wiggled her nose and said, “Maybe I need a real hat now!”

Doodle slipped on his slippers. “Thank you, Bedtime Detectives. We solved the mystery together!”

“Goodnight, Doodle!” piped Button.

“Goodnight, Pip!” meowed Pip.

“Goodnight, Tilly!” snuffled Tilly.

Doodle snuggled into bed, slippers warm on his feet. He smiled and whispered, “Every bedtime is better with friends.”

And as the moon shone down, the Bedtime Detectives dreamed of their next silly adventure.
