Chapter 1: Sammy's Day
Sammy was a little boy. He was three years old. Sammy loved to play outside. He loved to climb trees and run in the grass. One sunny morning, Sammy wanted to play in the park.
“Mommy, can I go to the park?” Sammy asked.
“Yes, you can! But remember to be careful,” Mommy said with a smile.
“I will be careful!” Sammy replied.
At the park, Sammy saw his friends. There was Lily, the girl with curly hair, and Max, the boy with big glasses.
“Hi, Sammy!” they called.
“Hi, Lily! Hi, Max!” Sammy waved.
They played on the swings. Sammy went high up in the air. “Look at me!” he shouted.
“Wow, Sammy! You are so brave!” said Lily.
But then, Sammy felt a little scared. “What if I fall?” he thought.
“Don't worry, Sammy! You can do it!” Max cheered.
Sammy took a deep breath. “I can do it!” he said. He swung higher and higher.
“Yay, Sammy!” said Lily. “You are flying!”
Sammy smiled. He felt happy.
Chapter 2: The Slide
After the swings, they ran to the big slide. It was really tall!
“Who wants to go first?” asked Lily.
“I do!” said Max.
Max climbed up the ladder. Sammy watched him. Max slid down and laughed. “That was fun!”
“Now it's your turn, Sammy!” Lily said.
Sammy looked at the slide. It looked big. “I don't know…” he mumbled.
“You can do it, Sammy!” Max encouraged.
“I can do it!” Sammy said. He climbed up the ladder. It was high. Sammy felt his heart beat fast.
“Don't be scared, Sammy! Just slide!” Lily shouted.
Sammy took a deep breath. “I can do this!” he told himself.
He sat down and pushed off. Whee! He slid down and landed on the soft grass.
“Yay, Sammy!” they cheered.
“I did it!” Sammy shouted. He felt proud.
Chapter 3: A Little Fall
After sliding, they played tag. Sammy was “it.” He ran after Lily and Max. But then, he tripped and fell.
“Ouch!” Sammy said, sitting on the ground.
Lily ran to him. “Are you okay, Sammy?” she asked.
“I think so,” Sammy sniffed.
Max knelt beside him. “It's okay to fall, Sammy. Everyone falls sometimes,” he said gently.
“But I don't like to fall,” Sammy said with a frown.
“Falling is how we learn!” Lily said. “You can get back up and try again!”
Sammy looked at his friends. “You really think so?”
“Yes!” they said together.
Sammy smiled. “Okay!” He stood up and brushed off the grass.
“Let's play again!” he said.
They ran and laughed. Sammy felt happy again.
At the end of the day, Mommy came to take Sammy home.
“How was your day, Sammy?” she asked.
“It was great! I played on the swings and the slide. I even fell, but I got back up!” Sammy said proudly.
“Wow, Sammy! You are learning to be brave!” Mommy hugged him.
“I am brave!” Sammy said, smiling big.
And from that day on, Sammy knew that it was okay to make mistakes. He learned to believe in himself. He was brave, and he could do anything he wanted.
“Remember, Sammy,” Mommy said as they walked home, “mistakes are just chances to learn.”
“Yes, Mommy! I will remember!” Sammy replied with a grin.
Sammy was happy. He felt strong and ready for new adventures.
