Chapter 1: Little Bunny in the Meadow
One sunny morning, Little Bunny hopped through the green, green meadow. The grass was soft and danced in the wind. Little Bunny's ears wiggled like pink umbrellas.
“Hello, Sun!” said Little Bunny. “Hello, Daisy! Hello, Butterfly!”
The sun smiled down, the daisies nodded, and Butterfly fluttered by.
Suddenly, a shadow stretched long and dark on the grass. Little Bunny stopped. The shadow grew, big as a tree.
“Who is that?” whispered Little Bunny.
A deep, slow voice answered, “It is I, the Big Bad Wolf.”
Little Bunny's heart thumped like a little drum. But Little Bunny stood still.
“Good morning, Big Bad Wolf,” said Little Bunny in a soft, brave voice.
The wolf's fur was gray like a stormy cloud. His eyes were yellow like lemon drops. He licked his lips.
“Good morning, small, sweet Bunny,” said the wolf. “I am hungry. I am looking for something to eat.”
Butterfly fluttered quickly away. Daisy bent down low. But Little Bunny stayed.
Little Bunny thought and thought. A smart idea sparkled in Bunny's mind like a shiny pebble.
“Do you like carrots, Mr. Wolf?” asked Little Bunny.
The wolf's eyes blinked. “I do not know. I have never tasted a carrot.”
Little Bunny smiled. “Come with me, and I will show you the biggest, crunchiest carrots in the meadow.”
Chapter 2: The Clever Plan
Little Bunny hopped and hopped, with the Big Bad Wolf behind. The wolf's paws were big and soft, like pillows in the grass.
“Are we there yet?” asked the wolf.
“Almost,” said Little Bunny. “You must close your eyes and count to ten. That is the magic way to find the carrots.”
The wolf closed his eyes. “One, two, three...” he counted in a low, rumbly voice.
Little Bunny tip-toed to a secret hiding bush, small and green and safe.
The wolf finished counting. “Ten!” he said. He opened his eyes, but Little Bunny was gone.
“Little Bunny, where are you?” called the wolf.
“I am here, Mr. Wolf,” said Little Bunny from behind the bush. “But you must find me with your nose, not your eyes. That is the magic way.”
The wolf sniffed and sniffed. His nose wiggled and twitched.
“I smell grass. I smell flowers. But where is Bunny?” wondered the wolf.
Little Bunny giggled softly. The wind whispered through the leaves.
The wolf turned around and around. He could not find Little Bunny.
“Little Bunny, I am tired and hungry. Will you help me, please?” asked the wolf.
Little Bunny felt a flutter in his heart. “I will help you, Mr. Wolf, if you promise not to eat me or my friends.”
The wolf sat down with a big sigh. “I promise, Little Bunny. I promise with my big, empty tummy.”
Chapter 3: A New Friend
Little Bunny hopped out from the bush. The sun was warm and the world felt safe.
“I will show you the carrot patch, Mr. Wolf,” said Little Bunny.
They walked together, soft paw by soft paw. The birds sang a gentle song.
Little Bunny showed the wolf the orange, crunchy carrots. “Here, Mr. Wolf, try a carrot.”
The wolf took a bite. Crunch! Crunch! His eyes grew round as the moon.
“Mmm, this is sweet! This is delicious!” said the wolf. “Carrots are very good.”
Little Bunny smiled. “Carrots are for sharing. We can eat together.”
The wolf wagged his bushy tail. “Thank you, Little Bunny. You are very clever and very kind.”
Little Bunny's heart felt light as a feather. “Sometimes, being clever keeps you safe. Sometimes, being kind makes a friend.”
The wolf nodded. “I do not want to be the Big Bad Wolf anymore. I want to be the Good Wolf.”
Little Bunny laughed. “That is a good choice, Mr. Wolf.”
Side by side, Little Bunny and the Good Wolf munched carrots and watched the butterflies dance.
The meadow was full of sun, laughter, and new friends.
And from that day, Little Bunny remembered: Sometimes, a clever mind and a kind heart can turn even a big, bad wolf into a gentle friend.
