The Wonderful Doctor Nellie
Dr. Nellie was a very special doctor. She loved helping people feel better, especially children. She had a shiny stethoscope that hung around her neck, and her big smile always made everyone feel better right away.
One sunny morning, Dr. Nellie walked into her bright and colorful clinic. Her friend, Nurse Joy, was waiting for her.
"Good morning, Dr. Nellie!" said Nurse Joy with a big smile.
"Good morning, Joy!" replied Dr. Nellie. "Are we ready for a busy day?"
"Yes, we are!" said Nurse Joy. "Our first patient is here. It's little Timmy."
Part 1: Timmy's Tummy Ache
Timmy was a small boy with curly hair and big brown eyes. He was holding his tummy and looking a bit sad.
"Hi, Timmy!" said Dr. Nellie, kneeling down to his level. "What's wrong?"
"My tummy hurts," Timmy said with a frown.
"Oh dear," said Dr. Nellie. "Let's take a look."
Dr. Nellie gently listened to Timmy's tummy with her stethoscope. It was cold and made Timmy giggle a little.
"Does it hurt here?" asked Dr. Nellie, pressing gently on Timmy's tummy.
"Yes, a little," said Timmy.
"Have you eaten anything funny today?" asked Dr. Nellie.
Timmy thought for a moment. "I ate a lot of candy," he said quietly.
"Ah! That might be the problem," said Dr. Nellie. "Too much candy can make your tummy hurt. Let's drink some water and rest a bit, okay?"
Timmy nodded. Dr. Nellie gave him a big glass of water and asked Nurse Joy to bring a cozy blanket.
"Feeling better?" asked Dr. Nellie after a while.
"Yes, a little," said Timmy with a tiny smile.
"Great! Remember, it's important to eat healthy foods too," said Dr. Nellie. "Fruits and veggies are good for you!"
"Okay, Dr. Nellie," said Timmy. "Thank you!"
Part 2: Anna's Adventure
Next, a little girl named Anna came into the clinic. She was holding her arm and looked worried.
"Hello, Anna!" said Dr. Nellie. "What happened?"
"I fell off my bike," said Anna. "My arm hurts."
"Let's take a look," said Dr. Nellie. She gently examined Anna's arm. "Does this hurt?" she asked, moving Anna's arm carefully.
"Yes, a bit," said Anna.
"Don't worry, Anna. I think it's just a bruise," said Dr. Nellie. "Nurse Joy, can you please bring some ice and a bandage?"
Nurse Joy quickly brought the ice pack and bandage. Dr. Nellie wrapped Anna's arm with care.
"There you go, all better!" said Dr. Nellie. "Try to be more careful on your bike, okay?"
Anna smiled. "I will. Thank you, Dr. Nellie!"
Part 3: The Big Surprise
Just when Dr. Nellie thought her day was over, Timmy and Anna came back into the clinic, this time with big smiles and a surprise.
"Dr. Nellie, we have something for you!" said Timmy, holding a small box.
"A surprise?" asked Dr. Nellie, her eyes twinkling.
Anna and Timmy opened the box together. Inside was a beautiful drawing of Dr. Nellie, Timmy, and Anna holding hands and smiling under a bright sun.
"We made this for you!" said Anna.
"It's to say thank you for making us feel better," said Timmy.
Dr. Nellie's heart was so full of happiness. "This is the best gift ever!" she said. "Thank you, Timmy and Anna. You two are the best patients ever!"
Dr. Nellie put the drawing up on the wall in her clinic where everyone could see it.
"Every time I look at this, I will remember how brave you both were," said Dr. Nellie.
Timmy and Anna giggled. "We love you, Dr. Nellie!" they said together.
"And I love you both!" said Dr. Nellie with a big smile. "Now, go out and play, and remember to stay safe and healthy!"
Timmy and Anna waved goodbye and ran out to play, feeling happy and better. Dr. Nellie watched them go, knowing she had the best job in the world—helping children feel better and making them smile.
