"Good morning, Dr. Benny!" chirped a cheerful voice.

Dr. Benny, a friendly man with a big smile and a white coat, looked down to see two bright-eyed children, Lily and Max, standing at the door of his clinic. Their backpacks were bouncing, and their faces were filled with curiosity.

"Good morning, Lily! Good morning, Max!" Dr. Benny replied, kneeling down to their level. "What brings you two here today?"

"We want to learn about being a doctor!" Lily exclaimed, her pigtails swaying as she talked.

"Yeah! Can you show us what you do?" Max added, bouncing on his toes.

Dr. Benny chuckled. "Of course! Come on in! There's so much to see!"

As they entered the clinic, the smell of antiseptic filled the air. Dr. Benny led them into a bright room filled with colorful posters of the human body.

“What are all those pictures?” Max asked, pointing to a poster of a heart.

"That's the heart!" Dr. Benny said, smiling. "It's a very important part of our body. It pumps blood all around us. Do you know what blood does?"

“It makes us strong!” Lily answered proudly.

“Exactly!” Dr. Benny beamed. “Now, let's look at some tools I use every day.”

He walked over to a shiny metal tray. “This is my stethoscope. It helps me listen to your heartbeats!”

“Can we try?” Max asked with wide eyes.

“Sure! Here, let me show you how it works.” Dr. Benny draped the stethoscope around his neck and placed the round part on his chest. “Can you hear my heart?”

Lily leaned in close. “Thump, thump! It's like a drum!”

“Right! Now it's your turn, Max!” Dr. Benny said, handing the stethoscope to him.

Max giggled as he pressed the stethoscope against his own chest. “I can hear it! It's beating fast!”

“That's because you're excited!” Dr. Benny laughed. “Now let's see what else we have.”

He picked up a small flashlight. “This is my otoscope. I look into ears with it. Do you want to see how it works?”

“Yes, please!” they both shouted.

Dr. Benny crouched down and said, “Let's pretend I'm checking your ears. You just sit still, and I will shine the light. Ready?”

“Ready!” Lily said, pretending to sit on an invisible chair.

Dr. Benny gently shone the light in her ear and said, “I can see your eardrum! It looks healthy!”

“What about mine?” Max said, bouncing on his feet.

Dr. Benny turned to Max. “Let's check! Oh, it looks good too! You both have very healthy ears!”

“Yay!” they cheered together.

Then Dr. Benny moved to a shelf filled with colorful bandages. “And here are my bandages! I use them when someone gets a boo-boo.”

Max looked concerned. “But why do people get boo-boos?”

Dr. Benny smiled and said, “Sometimes we trip, or we bump into things. It's okay! I help them feel better.”

“Can we bandage something?” Lily asked eagerly.

“Of course! Let's pretend you've scraped your knee. Here's a bandage!” Dr. Benny handed her a bright blue bandage. “Now place it on this teddy bear.”

Lily carefully stuck the bandage on the teddy bear's paw. “There! Teddy feels better!”

Dr. Benny laughed. “Yes, he does! You both are great doctors!”

Suddenly, the clinic door opened, and a little boy walked in with his mom. He looked sad. “I don't feel good,” he said softly.

Dr. Benny turned to the children. “This is Tommy. He has a cold. Would you like to see how I help him?”

“Can we?” Lily and Max said in unison.

“Absolutely! Come along!” Dr. Benny gestured for them to follow.

He knelt down to Tommy's level. “Hi, Tommy! I'm Dr. Benny. What's bothering you?”

“My nose is stuffy, and my throat hurts,” Tommy sniffled.

Dr. Benny nodded. “That sounds yucky! I'm going to check your throat. It's okay, I'll be gentle. Can you say, ‘Ahh' for me?”

“Ahh,” Tommy said, opening his mouth wide.

“Perfect! I see that your throat is a little red. Now, let's listen to your heart.” Dr. Benny put the stethoscope back on and listened carefully.

“How does it sound?” Max whispered to Lily.

“Shh! We'll hear soon!” she whispered back.

After a moment, Dr. Benny smiled. “Your heart sounds good, Tommy! Just a little rest and some warm soup, and you'll be back to playing in no time!”

“Really?” Tommy's eyes lit up.

“Yes! And here's a sticker for being brave!” Dr. Benny handed him a shiny star sticker.

“Thank you!” Tommy said, smiling brightly now.

“You're welcome! Remember, it's important to wash your hands and drink lots of water to stay healthy!” Dr. Benny added.

“Can we have stickers too?” Lily asked, bouncing excitedly.

“Of course! Here you go!” Dr. Benny handed them each a sticker. “You were great helpers today!”

Lily and Max jumped up and down with joy. “Thank you, Dr. Benny! We want to be doctors just like you!”

Dr. Benny laughed heartily. “You can be anything you want! Just remember to help others and always be kind.”

As they left the clinic, Lily turned to Max. “Being a doctor is fun!”

“Yeah! And it helps people!” Max replied, grinning.

And from that day on, whenever they played, they always pretended to be doctors, helping their stuffed animals feel better, just like Dr. Benny.
